Thewomen who are subjected to abuse and discrimination are assisted by the organization and madeaware about the rights and privileges, which are guaranteed by the different global organizations.The Black Sisters of Southall also provides advocacy services to the women victims and assiststhem in solving their problems. The report reveals the fact that the women are denied the rightsand privileges, which are guaranteed to every individual. The denial of the opportunities ofgrowth and progress makes the women dependent upon the male members of the family. Thewomen can play a major role for the growth of the society as well as the country’s economicprogress if they are given platforms for growth and progress. The women are the other half of thepopulation; hence, it is important for the leaders of the country to address the issue of makingthem strive for excellence and progress.

3REFLECTIONS ON WORK IN THE CRIMINOLOGICAL FIELDINTRODUCTION The women play the most important role in the society. Right from the beginning of aperson’s life, the roles played by women shapes the life of not just the person but also the societyas a whole. The immense contributions of the women are not reciprocated positively. Thewomen are subjected to suppression and are denied the opportunities to become self-dependent.The women also face the worst abuse and domestic violence at the homes, the rape casesregistered against the women whose age range from infants till the elderly women, reveals thefact that women are not safe anywhere, not even in the homes. The women are also abused in theworkplaces. Despite the progress made by women in the last century, a lot needs to be done inorder to fully realize the potential of the other half of the potential. The report analyzes the workdone by the Southall Black Sisters Organization and the contribution they make in improving thelives of the women in Southall. The population of Southall being diverse with many Asian andBlack communities residing in it, it becomes important for the staffs of Southall Black SistersOrganization to be aware as social citizens about the cultural norms of the different cultures.
