Introduction
In order to analyse my skills and experience the Gibbs reflective model is taken into
consideration. Gibbs reflective model was given by Graham Gibbs in 1988, this model helps in
analysing the learning which takes place from the experience, it is a effective tool which allows
the individual to examine experience. The Gibbs reflective model helps an individual to learn
and also to frame out things that went good or either didn't go well, it mainly includes 6 stages
(Gibbs–Reflective Cycle Model, 2021). To analyse the effectiveness of the communication in the
health and social care the Gibbs reflective model stages are mentioned below:
Description: This stage involves the detailed description of the incident happened can how,
when and where did it happened. While carrying doing the report importance of effective
communication in health and social care project I have analysed that with the use of effective
communication various health care standards and practices can be accomplish. While doing this
report I have analysed that the communication plays an very important role in the health and
social care activity (Farahian and Parhamnia, 2021).
Feelings: While carrying out this project I have learned that with strong and effective
communication skills any kind of activities whether related to the social work or health care can
be easily carried out by the individuals. I have also analysed that the effective communication is
the major driving force behind the success and growth of any individual. Before doing this
project I was unaware of the fact that communication can play such an important role in the
health and social care but after doing this I have analysed that there are different principles and
policies in context to effective commination such as NHS England assessable information and
communication policy (Mwebe, 2021).
Evaluation: After doing the project I have evaluated that the communication helps in
effectively understanding of the patients conditions so that they can measure the improvements
accordingly, it also helps in analysing the emotional state of the patients along with
understanding their needs. In addition to this through this project I have also evaluated the
relationship between the effective communication and principles of care.
Analysis: Through this project I have analysed that communication is one of of the essential
factor in smoothly carrying out various activitie.doc_1814750799 (1)s, it allows the individual to
easily transfer their ideas and thoughts to other individual also understand their ideas which leads
to achieving desired goals and objectives. While carrying out this report I have analysed that

effective communication helps in understanding needs and requirement of the patients (Matsuo
and Nagata, 2020). .doc_1814750799 (1)
Conclusion: While doing this report I have learned that one needs to have effective
communication in order to effectively transfer their ideas and carry out their activity, one needs
effective communication in order to understand the needs of their patients and carry out work
related to social and health care.
Action Plan: In order to further improve the communication skills various actions can be
taken into consideration, I can attend various seminars related to improving communication skills
and also can read various books on improving communication (Delves-Yates, 2021).
