INTRODUCTION
Reflective learning refers to the writing in which the experience or the carried out study
or project or any task is being evaluated to examine the reflections (Lapina, 2018.) The report
will be extensively discussing the learnings of first semester in which all performed tasks and the
areas where mistakes were committed and how those bottlenecks have been eradicated in
learning of second semester. It will also present a Personal Development Plan considering the
assessments. PDP will broadly discuss the aims and way to ace them in the pre decided time
duration.
MAIN BODY
REFLECTIONS OF SEMESTER 1-
In semester one the learning experience has been phenomenon. It was based on business
operations and management which gave a wide range of management elements to explore. The
tasks were diversified and dynamic in nature. I Initially researched on contemporary issues in
business Which was a bit challenging due to the drastic nature of business environment.
Firstly the impacts of Brexit on the business has been drilled deeply (Fernandes and
Winters, 2021.) It placed challenges of going through a wide range of sources and then reaching
to final conclusion. For this purpose I have considered authentic sources and potential impacts of
Brexit had been articulated. It had improved my ability of seeing the global actions or political
dynamics and their impacts on the business.
Another research was about supply chain and its disruptions. With this regard the
dimensions of supply chain in the country and their impacts on the business was broadly seen, it
placed challenges like- evaluation of multiple Channels of supply chain in the country and their
interrelationship and impacts on the business. Here I had improved my skills of understanding
the prominence of SCM and its utility in thriving of business (Sidhu, Singh and Singh, 2019.)
In first semester a case study was also made in which ALDI company and it's changing
model of business was meticulously observed. It offered challenges but in different manners. The
case study had asked questions as well which were based on it. I had sharpened the skills of

reflecting the views on business related cases. Further it also asked a business psychological
question in which the new business model and its viable impacts on the customers was asked.
Here the quality of perceiving the customer behaviour was implanted.
Latter on the role of management in implementation of ethical practises in a business has
been seen in context of TESCO Ltd. (Lombardo, 2019.) Where identification of ethical norms by
the entity and then addressing all associated dimensions of business ethics were seen. I have
learnt the prominence of ethics in thriving business reputation. And how the ethical code of
conducts can benefit the customers for building long term relationship with them.
The most dynamic assignment I got was a class presentation where I encountered a set of
challenges. Like preparing the crisp content, presenting it in the most receptive form and even
the time factor was also constraint. It improved my ability of acknowledging the ideas in its best
and crisp form. It improved my ability if being vocalized among the professional fraternity.
The final task of the semester was to collate the all previous tasks I have performed. It's been a
wonderful experience recollecting all knowledgeable tasks I have carried out. The learnings have
been quite lightening which inculcated bunch of knowledge in me.
The learnings of the first semester have improved my skills and knowledge of business
and management. It has given me new ideas to improve my learning outcomes of second
semester. For instance- I have very first time experienced the business environmental factors and
their impacts on the business. Contemporary research improved the skills of ripping of the
various factors and their impacts on the business. Further I have learnt to make case studies and
taking out the takeaways for improvement of our decision-making. First semester also taught me
the role of a manager with regard to installation of business ethics and how abiding with ethical
practices ones can bring more value to its business. And last but not least my ability to present
my learning outcomes to people was also fabricated. In conclusion the first semester had made
me more competent for my further exploration (Reyes-Menendez, 2020.)

The learnings of first semester have given a boost to the performance in second semester.
The all tasks I performed came with different set of challenges and pave the way for skill
development. I have felt comfort in copping up the challenges in this semester. It has been
precious in being more diverse in nature and keeping microscopic vision while analysing
business management issues.
While going through case studies on critical topics the quality of seeing all possible
impacts on the business and developing the skill of predicting business environment has grown.
This potential made the study more interesting. The diverse vision of probing the elements
developed the capacity of making strong predictions. The impacts of SCM crisis which was
studied I have learnt more about it (Choi and Kim, 2022) A few mistakes or lacunas of my study
was seeing it as part of supply but it is much and more than that. SCM is something which is
behind the entire business management of a nation. It is not restricted up to providing goods or
services on right time but it controls the cost, revenue, labour, demand, supply all these aspects
of business. Other bloopers in the research also improved here. While conducting research it is
essential to be person with wider perspective and selecting the most relevant content and framing
a strong research design. It enhanced my ability of better selection of research design so can
make my research more prolific (Mir, 2018.)
The case study and responding the asked question went well. I learnt and executed that
knowledge in my learnings of second semester. In my first case study I tried my best yet a few
areas where betterment was expected I pointed out and implemented in my learning. As I found
for impactful case study it is unavoidable to consider the following tips- It will work more if we
identify the areas with greater importance in the entire case, being familiar with the case, identify
key issues, evaluate each course of action, cover all alternative courses of action and at the end
of it recommend the best solution for the perils. I revamped my ideas and utilized in second
semester. The shortcomings of previous semester became fire bow for my way forward. In the
case study learning about consumer behaviour turned out as and key lesson. The success of a
business and management deeply depends on the response and behaviour of customers
(Syalawaty, 2021. )

Business which gets operated in the society, using financial, human, natural resources of
it is undeniably responsible to perform its ethical role. This taught me how management can be a
good implementer of business ethics in attempt to compensate the devastations or calamities it
has caused to the society. The task deeply analysed the approach of TESCO Ltd (Moon, Uskul
and Weick, 2018.) with this regard and how it can be further re brushed. I have improved my
skills of understanding and nurturing my capacity of addressing the ethical issues and
implementing ethical norms in a business being a person of management (Fuseini, and Knowles,
2020.)
The fourth task in first semester was unique from other tasks due to the amount of
dynamics it carries. My skills of preparing content was not sufficed, for being more productive
ones need to know how to present it and articulate it before the intended audience. The task
improved the key skills like- presenting the content of study or research, managing time while
performance, giving priority to the areas with greater utility, keeping it multidimensional and
open for recommendations and other improvements.(Strohmeier, 2020.) Where I chose Human
Resource as my area of presentation and it brought me a broader picture of role of HR in success
of a business. I used this knowledge in my learnings of second semester. I pointed out the
mistakes or should be called minute mistakes I committed in my first semester presentation and
then analysed the areas of improvement and at last executed the plan. It has been precious in
escalating my learning outcomes in second semester.
As I have mentioned in my first assignment during presentation I forgot a few points due
to poor presentational strategy. I learnt that for on time recollection we can memorize the points
with keywords. I have implemented it in my learnings of second semester.
Altogether it can be concluded that the first semester and takeaways have worked out in
nourishment of learning outcomes in second semester. The areas were mistakes were traced
triggered the thrust of improvement and new learning. It's been quite interesting addressing the
perils and being more potent for drastic growth.

CONCLUSION
From the report above it can be concluded that the report has presented reflections of the
assessments done in both semesters, how the mistaken areas helped in improving the learning
outcomes in second semester. Report also critically evaluated the performance and areas of
improvement how the tasks in first semester had presented challenges before and how by using
specific skills those challenges were encountered. At the end of it a full length Personal
Development Plan also prepared in order to achieve the intended aims with citing all relevant
dimensions like- strategy, required resources, review policy and time for it will be practised.
The learnings from second semester will be giving me edge in my future learning since the
mistakes what I made I got them corrected and further it enhanced my capabilities of
encountering the business issues. The learnings of second semester will be widening my
perspective of scrutinizing economic dynamics and their impacts on the business further it would
be helping me in being more creative and complete in presenting my ideas in front of think tank.
Ability of introducing new ways to install business ethics would also be redeveloped. Second
semester will somehow shape my learning forward in attempt to make the way paved.
