Benefits of the group work
While attending the NUMUN discussion I realized that teamwork cuts down the time of the
gestation quite considerably. I was convinced about certain ideas related to the FDI equation in
Vietnam, I was wrong because I never thought about it from certain other tangents. My discussions
mates corrected me, quite surprisingly I realized that within a few minutes I was thinking about
certain problems from a different perspective.
The similarity and the difference between the ideas of the group mates
During this discussion, I realized that there is no such thing as right or wrong. It is the middle path
that really matters. Nobody can predict the future turnaround of the events. However, the presence
of a team can add a new dimension into the thought process and help us in finding a concrete
solution covering multiple dimensions of the same question that we have in our hands.
The set of the most polished skill that I have
My ability to collaborate and compromise is the best set of skills that I have. It is not a matter of
victory or defeat. It is more of value addition, when we are discussing or debating in a team. It is a
joint effort. I am happy that I am able to handle criticism well. I took it as a check and balance
exercise. I thought that my teammates have this capacity to look at my thought process from an
objective point of view.
The set of skills that I need to polish further
In my views, my ability to express myself or public speaking is an area where I need to work hard. In
order to gain confidence while speaking, I need to work on my writing skills because; the writing
makes a man exact. A good writer requires a lot of study and homework and this is where I will be
able to find content for the speeches, debates, and discussions.
