Reflective Blog for Workshop-7
Activity Description
During workshop-7, activities related to research approaches as well as resources and
business ethics were conducted. I learnt how to design an ethical project and observing,
analysing data and its concepts as well as testing of assumptions. After research, I was
supposed to report to customers and observe, so that Co-creation can be made (Southampton
Solent University , 2012).
Thoughts and feelings during the workshop
Throughout the whole workshop, I learnt each and everything related to designing
product. First, the research methodology was introduced and it was helpful in searching
relevant information and data (Moon, 2006). After those interviews for design thinking and
design, projects were taken place just to get experience and practice interviewing.
Thoughts and feelings afterwards the workshop
After the workshop-7, I was able to interviewing for design thinking and design
projects. I got expertise in finding data and data sources related to The Design Process, after
research methods, I was able to apply ethical approach, which introduces many designing
ethics associated with designing tools to fulfil all ethical regulations of my university being a
student. After the ethical group discussion in that workshop, I got the quality knowledge
about business ethics, ethical designing (Southampton Solent University , 2012).
What can you learn from these kind of activities
These kinds of workshops and activities are always knowledge spreading and quality
productive for the students like us. Technicalities about designing projects, ethical
approaches, and data sources can be learned through them.

Reflective Blog for Workshop-8
Activity Description
During workshop-8, Rapid prototyping consists of early and later prototypes, as well
as prototyping techniques were introduced, as actual prototype is the basic need for design
implementation.
Thoughts and feelings during the workshop
While studying prototypes techniques, I was able to test my assumptions through
sketching, storyboarding, wire framing, physical and paper prototyping. During an activity of
Thinking like a user, I learnt prototype testing.
Thoughts and feelings afterwards the workshop
After practising activities of week-8, I was able to prepare rapid-prototype, and as I
also studied the critique view on rapid-prototype, therefore all aspects were clear efficiently.
As I studied a case during workshop, now I am good at analysing case studies on design
projects.
What can you learn from these kind of activities
Activities those were conducted in workshop-8 are good for making our assumption
testing, and thoughts visualization strong. These workshops provide learning associated with
identification of pros and cons of any area or technique.
Reflective Blog for Workshop-9
Activity Description
Activities based on learn to plan, and execute a learning launch then review of it, were
conducted during week-9 to promote innovation. This was the last step of The Design
Process- Model, so that I can learn Real launch. We were also told about submission of
complete workshop presentation or kind of report at the end of the week. At the end of the
week-9, I prepared for the week-10 workshop.

Thoughts and feelings during the workshop
While doing the activities of week-9, I was realizing the importance of learning
launch as; many potential launches were performed before Real launch of the product.
Moreover, timing, concrete preparation, and invitees were so important factors for the
product launch; I was able to realize this fact during week-9.
Thoughts and feelings afterwards the workshop
At the end of the week-9, I was able to understand importance of relevant data
collection, learning launch, planning and prior preparation, as well as participant’s
involvement for the real design product launch.
What can you learn from these kind of activities
By doing these kind of events in practical workshops, I can learn future real-time
problem solutions which is very beneficial in implementing efficiently in order to execute
The Design Model.
Reflective Blog for Workshop-10
Activity Description
Activities of Blogging as well as Co-creation were conducted during week-10, as all-
essential steps in The Design Model were already completed in above weeks. Self-
assessment for the above weeks was the main area of focus in that week; we all were
instructed to complete the assessment process online on prescribed portal, which is an
important step of learning (Rogers, 2001).
Thoughts and feelings during the workshop
Reflective report format to critically analyse and reflect experience was shown during
workshop, and it was comprises of Weekly reflective blog section, report writing, and finally
self-assessment sheet. After seeing these tasks, I realised that my learning is focused on
personal as well as knowledge development strategy.
Thoughts and feelings afterwards the workshop
At the end of the week-10, I was able to understand all the basic requirements of self-
assessment writing, learning objectives of all prior weeks, and importance of self-assessment
(Lawrence & Ashmore, 2014).

What can you learn from these kind of activities
During week 10, all the learning outcomes were very apparent, as, I was not the same
person, who entered into these workshops some week’s earlier as per the Boud’s reflective
model (Boud, Keogh, & Walker, 1985). Therefore, workshops based on technical, moral,
ethical, as well as practical learning objectives are always result in enhanced performance of
the students.
Reflective Blog for Workshop-11
Activity Description
During week-11, self-assessment of week-10 was going on and assessment-3 was
executed. In assessment-3, instructions regarding writing reflection blog, working on
reflective report and completing the SPA (self and peer-assessment) were given (Rogers,
2001).
Thoughts during and after the workshop
During the last workshop-11, as I was aware of the reflective writing assignment, so I
was thinking about my experience of giving presentation before my class and tutor
(Southampton Solent University , 2012). I was also remembering and writing some key
points regarding what I have learnt from others presentation style and their way of delivering
technical part. How other competitors handled query session at the end of the presentation
was a notable thing for writing my reflection for the workshop. I also gave feedback as we all
were instructed to do so.
