1|P a g eReflective Essay Question1 Before I do the detailed research on the engineer and their roles, I think that the engineers are the person who design, implement, build, test new machines and devices, systems which will be helpful in making the life’s easy for the other individuals. The engineers are responsible for defining the problems conducting and analysing the research, finding the solution and making decision for the same. I think the engineer works in a variety of fields to analyse, develop, and evaluate large scale, difficult system. This can be done to have the improved and maintained system or creating the brand new projects(Ughanwa and Baker, 2018). Question2 Yes; my view has been changed a little about the role of engineers and their performance of work. After having a detailed review on the engineers are not only the people who analyse and summarise the things while taking the decision. But the scope of engineers is more than that. The engineers are responsible for all the work done by them whether it is planning the new technique, implementing it, taking the decisions and after that taking the feedback. If the project does not goes in accordance to that expected then taking the corrective action for making it right. In Australia, the engineer’s areas do the new task in the field of agriculture industry. Question3 Expert can be defined as the person who is very knowledgeable about or skilful in a particular area. In my view the engineer can be an expert. It can be expert in the mechanical, or software’s or other lines of engineering. In engineering, it will take four years to complete the course. The expert can become engineer by taking the degree with skills and knowledge. The

The expert gains the theoretical knowledge from the books and when applied in the real life with his innovation andskillsinit,hegainsexperiencefromit(LeeandSmith,2018). Question4 Reading and understanding the whole, I have understand that the role and duties performed by the engineers. I developed the new knowledge of how the engineers design perform and implement their work. The engineer can be an expert while taking the knowledge from its academics and apply that knowledge on the practical life while using its skills and innovative techniques. To activate my knowledge base, I like to learn things from others to increase my knowledge. Everything cannot be learned by us, some topics can only be understood by the explanation given by others. I develop those skills by reading and learning more(Irwin, 2016). Question5 Key behaviour in my opinion is listening. In listening, the people get the understanding what other people wants to tell. While listening to some person, half of the problem of person is solved. I am trying to be a good listener. As good listener has its own quality. A listener can make it existence feel in front of everyone by nodding the head, showing the facial expression as if he can understand each and everything. From this the other people feel that the person is very understandable and have many capabilities to do and understand the new thingsfromothers(BryantandGoswami,2016). Question6 When I am carrying out any research, I would first like to read all the contents related to the

After managing the information, the writing part of the research is started.I would kept a record in notes form which I have made at the time of research the topic and its contents, keep the information in the soft file while managing all the links from which I have done the research. I write those things in advance in my own words so that at the time of writing it will become simple for me to understand and write the things. Question 7 Collaboration is a term used for action of working together to produce something.I think coordinating and cooperating with other is quiet easy task for me as I have remain the captain in the cricket team of my college and my team members are happy with my leadership. I think I still work on my technical skills in my job profile. The collaboration in the team is very important as integrity in the team leads to have win-win situation. I think the work of communicating, coordinating and building relationships with people is easy for me. The frustrating part is when the people put the limitations on me of not doing some work(Binder, 2016). Question8 As a manager, the time should be managed so that the each task should be given equal time. Time management should be done accordingly to the work requirement. Managing time can be properly done when the things are prioritize, breaking down the task in smaller parts. The best management of time I can done in the field of giving appropriate time to each subjects so that I can score good in all rather than focusing on the one subject. The worst time management incident I faced was not to be on the time at the time of my exams in school

Question9 Time value of money can be defined as the concept in which money available at present is more than the worth money available at future date due to the potential of money to earn more in the future. The concept of time value of money is taken into consideration as money can earn interest; it is the core principle of finance. Payback period is the period which gives the time estimation that in how much time the money invested will be return to the investor. Similarly in the case of the engineering education, time taken to complete the studies and amount of fee invested will be the initial investment. The time in which student completes his education and start earning the amount which was invested will be the payback period (Sarkar, Sana and Chaudhuri, 2011). Question 10 Sustainability in engineering is the process of designing or operating the system in such a way that they use the energy and resources in the sustainable manner. The application of ethics norms will lead to better engineering solution for the future. The ethics should be included in all the profession of engineering as well so that the follow of moral duties should be there (Bender, Wagg and van, 2016). Ethics can be definedas the basic moral principles that govern the person’s behaviour or nature in doing the work. This field examines and set the obligation by the engineers to society, to their clients and to the profession also.
