REFLECTIVE REPORT
Team work is considered as essentials in every situational of field to achieve success and
accomplish the task effectively. It is a process in that concentrate on combination of efforts of
different individuals for accomplishment of some specific task in specific time duration (Potter,
2015). In this report, I have discussed about my personal of working with group of people for
making a group presentation. In order to demonstrate the reflection of personality, Gibbs'
reflective model through I will be able describe various stages of reflection of personal
understanding. In our group presentation, we have assigned the task to conduct a SWOT
analysis of H&M which is international retail brand in united kingdom. The objectives of
research were to gain the understanding about various internal factors that influence the business
operations and strategies of organization. In this group assignment, there was four members from
same batch which are pursuing the course in marketing. At the time working in group, it is
essential that all member should provide contribution in accomplishment of activities and task.
The team was formulated by our tutors in which are member are consisted of people from
diversified culture and back ground. Moreover, people from different cultures and back ground
have different opinion, values, perception and thinking which creates problems in making
coordination with other (Bradley and et. al., 2013). For accomplishment of activities, it is
important to make effective communication to gain knowledge about each other and analyse the
competencies to perform task.
In this group presentation, I have faced various problems while working as there was no
communication and understanding between the member. Group meeting was organized in our
campus where all the members was arrived for making discussion about the project and roles
were divided to each members. At initial stages, we have completed all the task effectively and
also divided the task which are needed to be accomplished in second phase. Every team members
have provided effective contribution in accomplishment of activities. Other than this there are
various challenges which we have faced in making group presentation was scarcity of funds and
other resources. These problems have demotivated some of our team members and they have not
worked effectively. Moreover, we have also faced various challenges difference in opinion of
team member, lack of interest and lack of competency. In second phase, a combined task was
assigned to two members in which they have faced difficulties to complete the as they do not

have any experience about the activities therefore were not been able to complete their which has
created conflict between them one our team member had left the group not participated in any
activity. Due to this, the burden of activities was increased on other members. Further, by
making interaction, the remaining three members have decided to accomplish the task
effectively. In this assignment, I was having a responsibility to conduct a research and analysis
major strengths of organization in market which will provide supports in achievement of growth
in business operations.
At the final stage, there was a requirement to make changes some changes in slides which
are needed to done before the submission of presentation. I have assigned this task to make
changes but it was difficult for one person to make changes. At last, I have made the changes
effectively by taking guidance of some teacher and seniors. There was a deadline of two weeks
of making the group presentation and in first meeting we have decided that the presentation will
be completed before deadline. After making changes, we have submitted and also received
recognition of superiors. At the day of presentation, all other member have refused to include the
name that one member who had left the group. We had received first prize for our presentation
because all member have actively participated and also without having many resources we have
completed the presentation (Kim, 2017). Our communication and coordination has influenced
our director he had acknowledged and provided full marks to very student.
One positive thing which I have experienced was that all the member have made collective
efforts and provided recognition to opinion of each other. One negative things which I have
realized was the conflict which was arisen between two our members due to which one member
had left the group.
Further, in this group presentation it has been analysed that effective coordination and
cooperation between the team member is required to complete the project. It is also analysed that
every member in group need to respect the opinion of other member. I have also analysed that
there was needs of changes in delegation of responsibility as the member have difficulties in
accomplishment of task therefore, the responsibilities needed to be delegated on the basis of
experience and skills.
