MAIN BODY
Gibbs reflective cycle in reflection process
Gibbs reflective cycle refers to the reflection on the basis of learning experience which
allows a person to improve their performance for present as well as for future. There are six
stages been involved in reflective cycle which are description, feelings, evaluation, analysis,
conclusion and a action plan. In terms of communication skills in the form of both verbal and
written. In terms of verbal communication it is considered as an oral form of communication
which includes presentations, conversations and many more. In terms of written communication
it includes letters, reports and so on. In context with my communication skills it is been
explained as below:-
I had an amazing experience on learning communication skills which was needed at my
workplace. At my job the most important thing is communication in both verbal as well as
written communication. There were many situations in which both type of communication was
needed. I have continuously achieved growth at my workplace I had a strong communication

skills which were been required at my job. It is important to have good employability skills at a
workplace. I applied both verbal and written communication methods. I used to make
presentations and also made reports which got resulted into positive way.
I felt very encouraged and motivated because other employees were happy with the way I
was interacting with them. It was a very positive situation for me as during my presentations and
sending letters to everyone my skills were getting developed. To built up my employability skills
I focused mainly on communicating with people.
Everything was been going really well and positive but in some situations it created a
negativity too so it was necessary to take some actions with regard to that. The main thing which
got successful was that I improved my both verbal and written communication skills which is the
only thing which is needed at workplace but at the same point of time I certain situations I was
feeling difficulty in doing interaction with other people. As I was not able to communicate with
everyone present in organisation. While applying the written form of communication then those
employees to which letters were been sent so to them I was not able to interact with them.
After analysing both positive as well as negative aspects I learnt that I should not focus
on using the method of oral communication more rather than sending out letters or making
reports. For example, from now on I should start giving presentations to my problem solving
skills co-workers and start interacting with them. With the help of my other talents I should now
built up my communication skills. The main objective of my would be to start interacting with
each co-worker rather than only few ones.
In context with my research skills it is defined as an ability to solve specific problems. It
involve to collect information, review that and interpret the data in such a manner that a person
can find out the solution. At my workplace I experienced that my research skills were been both
in positive as well as negative way. In terms of positive situations many problems got arise while
doing job but I analysed all data in a correct manner which helped me in doing effective research
and also improved my performance. I experienced that my skill of report writing was the most
helpful for me. In terms of negative situations it happened that I was not able to analyse the data
properly.
Before the situation of negativity I felt very happy that everything is been done in a
correct manner but as situations were getting worse doing research also became difficult. At a
workplace it is needed that analysis of data is done in a appropriate manner so that everything
