INTRODUCTION The registered nurses are defined as those individuals who provide healthcare service topeople and for that they need a graduate degree. In clinical profession, it is important for nursesto have effective leadership skills. In the following report there are three sections consistingleadership and management of nurses, communication and health informatics and professionalpractice of registered nurses. Leadership and management Identify and explore two key leadership skills needed in role of registered nurse Registered nurses are those nurses who are graduated from a nursing program and metthe requirements of state, country or province in order to obtain a nursing license (Bawafaa,Wong & Laschinger, 2015). The role of registered nurse varies according to the area of expertise.They have an important role in promotion of wellness by performing different range of services.The main focus of a registered nurse is on caring and educating patients and their familymembers regarding recovery and preventing diseases. Different skills required by registerednurses are mentioned below - Emotional intelligence – Nurse leaders have to work with trainees and must developemotional intelligence. This support will help peers to overcome with stressors which are presentduring different routine challenges. The nurse leaders are responsible for managing thesechallenges and various counterproductive influences which result in poor collaboration of team. Integrity – The main aim of primary registered nurses is having integrity for own selfand among charges. Personal integrity is aiding registered nurses in making correct decisionswhile critical junctures or treatment of patients. Moreover, nurses must teach ethical practices totrainees as this helps in making effective and safe care decisions. Dedication to excellence - Nurses must be dedicated towards their work and they musthave passion and purpose. Nurse leaders must teach new nurses that they should work hard andimprove their performance every day. Nurses must provide top notch services to patients andinfluence new nurses to work effectively. Critical thinking - The nurse leaders must guide other practitioners to use criticalthinking as this helps in developing ability to make effective decisions. If nurses have critical
