Assessing suitable reflective model, by learning through this module The suitable reflective model which helps in knowing that what has been learned from this module is done with the help ofGibbs Reflective Cycle. And this is explained as - Description-The situation which has been described here is being a manager in hospitality industry and serving the individuals at large scale. The description consists of skills which manager serves in hospitality industry(Adeani and Syafryadin, 2020). Along with manager, there were many other individuals who were present within hospitality industry. The roles and responsibilities which the manager serves within hospitality industry is being served is analyzed and evaluated to analyze basis of how the manager delivers its best performance. The skills of manager within hospitality industry are known so that industry is able to analyze and evaluate management which is seen by manager and along with other industry processes. are provided to an individual for the development of the various other skills that are required by a manager. And also it identifies the threats that hinders and individual growth and development. Feelings-The second step in the gibbs model of reflection if the feelings. That is it describes about the thoughts and feeling of an individual and shows the impact of these thoughts and feeling on the experience(Ibrahima and Khalilc, 2018). It is a step that explores the ideas and thought process of an individual about the whole situation. So from my experience from the learning module, initially I got a feeling that the lectures were boring and as the lectures proceeded further in the learning module it started getting interesting, thus, it became more interesting as there were so many new things that I had no knowledge about. With this, learning module, it helped me learning so many new things and build my personality by enhancing me skills and ability. Evaluation-The third step in the process of reflection is the evaluation. That is in this step individuals evaluates their own experience in a positive or a negative way about the situation. In other words it can be said the evaluation stage in the reflection model helps in identifying the objects that worked in favor of the individuals and what did not work in favor of the individual (Bass, 2020).From my experience of the learning module it canbe evaluated that there were many positive aspects to the situation that is with the inculcation in the learning module it helped me in learning different things such as SWOT analysis, Personal Development plan. With the learning of these analysis it helped me in evaluating the skills that I require for becoming a manager in the hospitality industry. Thus with this learning module I was able to learn evaluate certain skill were I lack and where I am good. That is with the using the SWOT analysisI was able to evaluates my strengths and weaknesses. Also, I was able to evaluate the opportunity that I could grab for betterment of my skills and abilities. On the other hand, with the development of personal development plan o was able to improve and enhance my decision making and time managementskillswhichareveryimportantforbecomingamanageratahospitality organization. Analysis-The next step in the Gibbs model of reflection is the analysis of the situation. That is at this stage individuals try and analyses the whole situation and experience and understands what happened(Ardian and Afifah,2019). In other words at this stage individuals learn what went well and what helped the experience to become successful. Thus, from my learning module, I 6
can analyze that with the learning module it helped me in analyzing various skills and abilities that are important and required by an individual in becoming a manger. Also, it can be analyzed that with this learning process there were various things that I was able to develop for betterment of my abilities and skills. Conclusion-The fifth step in the reflection model of gibbs is the summarization of the experience(Mulryan-Kyne, 2021). That is at this stage individuals conclude the whole situation and summarizes what they have learned and what are things that they need to improve. In other words, individuals conclude the action that could have been taken which would have improved the situation. Thus, from my learning module it can be concluded that with the inculcation in the module it helped me understanding and learning various new things. It also helped me evaluating my own skills and abilities. Thus, there are certain skill that i need to improve for my betterment. Action plan-The last step in of the gibbs model of reflection is the action plan. At this stage individuals describes the action that are needed to be taken so that in future the situation can be enhanced. In other words, this is a stage where action are taken to make changes for doing things differently for betterment of the experience. Thus, from the learning module, the action plan I need to develop is that I need to improve certain skills such as time management and decision making so that I could be an efficient and effective manager in the future. 7
