This report discusses the enhancement of skills in context to personal, professional as well as academic aspects using Gibb's Reflective Framework. It includes phases of Gibb Reflective model in accordance with professional, personal, and academic development, along with an action plan for each. The report concludes that reflective practice plays an important role in summarising learning experience of individuals in an effective manner.

Introduction
Reflective practice can be understood as capability of individuals which helps them
to reflect actions as well as engage in continuous learning in an effective manner
(Bell, Wilcoxen and Steiner, 2022). This project report comprises of understanding
of reflective model which is named as Gibb's Reflective framework for enhancing
knowledge regarding personal, professional as well as academic development.
This project report discusses the enhancement of skills in context to personal,
professional as well as academic aspects in a strategic manner.
Professional Development
Gibb reflective model is a cyclic framework which aid learners in providing a
structure for concluding their experiences in an effective manner (Cho, 2022)
(DeBettencourt and Nagro, 2019). Stages of Gibb's reflective model in context to
professional development are as follows:
Description- I have enrolled myself in a module called as Professional practice-
learning through organisations. I have joined this as I want to develop my problem-
solving and negotiation skills while going for a job in a later time period. Problem-
solving skills are necessary for overcoming varied challenges and solving conflict
among employees in an effective manner.
Feelings- While starting this module, I was feeling a combination of nervousness
and happiness as this is a new experience for me. I was also feeling awkward while
meeting with my classmates which later become normal through engaging in
interactions.
Evaluation- I evaluated that I was good at negotiation skills and needs to enhance
it for developing my professional career. I faced issues in solving problems in a
instant manner as I used to think through an emotional side. I evaluated that career
learning process is most interesting as well as intriguing aspect of the entire
session. I want to use this process for becoming more organised as well as make

better use of my personal time in an effective manner.
Analysis- I have analysed that these skills are considered as essential for me to
enhance my professional career in an effective manner. This would help me in
gaining higher position in later years.
Conclusion- It has been concluded that problem-solving skills and negotiation
skills help learners in enhancing their professional development in a strategic
manner.
Action plan- I have planned that I will indulge in activities which help me to
enhance my problem-solving skills in an effective manner. I would try to involve
myself in activities where my skills can be enhanced. For developing my
professional development, I have to value guided actions and its significance in
individual's life for shaping society in an effective manner.
Personal Development
Phases of Gibb Reflective model in accordance with personal development are as
follows:
Description- For my personal development, I want to focus on two competencies
namely, emotional intelligence and self-leadership. I have learnt that emotional
intelligence of leaders can improve team performance in a strategic manner. This
will also improve decision-making and can establish trust which reduce employee
turnover in an effective manner. Emotional intelligence is concerned with enhancing
varied skills in learners such as self-awareness, motivation and related to empathy
(Decker and Et. Al., 2021). This can aid individuals in communicating effectively,
defuse conflicts as well as empathize with others.
Feelings- I felt happy while taking lectures in this module. As the sessions are well-
versed connected as well as interactive which help me to enhance my knowledge in
an effective manner. I was very happy and felt this session as very interesting which
help me to develop my varied skills such as emotional intelligence in an effective
manner.
Evaluation- I have evaluated that it is important for me to gain self-leadership
qualities which will help me to manage conflicts in a strategic manner at my
employability.
Analysis- I have analysed that I am not good at leadership skills which can create
problems for me while doing job in later years. Self-leadership skills are considered
as essential for me as it aid me in attaining professional goals as well as become a
good leader. I developed an understanding about the STAR method which stands
for situation, task, action and result in a strategic manner.
Conclusion- At this phase, learning experience is concluded by individuals in a

strategic manner (Schmidt, 2022). It has been assessed that these skills are
considered as essential for learners as it help them to gain knowledge about
enhancing personal development in a strategic manner.
Action plan- I want to develop my self-leadership as well as emotional intelligence
skills for developing my personality in an effective manner. For enhancing emotional
intelligence skills, I will try to empathize with people as well as communicate
effectively.
Academic Development
Stages of Gibb's reflective model in accordance with academic development are
mentioned below:
Description- At this stage, situation is described by individuals in a strategic
manner (Schriver, Buus and Rossen, 2019). For developing my academic integrity,
wanted to develop my assessing and academic writing skills. I develop my
understanding about the GROW coaching model which led me to establish the
goals, evaluate the circumstances as well as figuring ways for achieving them. This
module will help me in developing those skills which help me in my employability in
an effective manner. I also have been given an assignment by teachers for
assessing my academic writing skills in a strategic manner.
Feelings- I felt nervous and excited while attending lectures in this module. I was
nervous to write an assignment as it also test my academic integrity. I felt ecstatic
by learning about the self-leadership process as well as varied management styles
which can be help me in developing my skills in an effective manner.
Evaluation – At first, I have evaluated that I will be not be able to write an
assignment with academic integrity and does not indulge in misconduct in regards
with university regulations. But later on, I get to understand about the academic
integrity principles and tried to manage my assignment in an effective manner.
Analysis- At this phase, analysis has been made on the basis of learning outcomes
of an individual in an effective manner. I have analysed that academic writing is
typical skills but is very helpful in developing academics in a significant manner. It
has been analysed that managing academic integrity is considered vital for learners
for developing their professional career.
Conclusion – It has been concluded that it is imperative for leaders to have
academic writing and assessing skills for gaining success in employability in later
years. These skills are considered as important for individuals for gaining
enhancement in career.
Action Plan- At this stage, an action plan is formulated for developing skills which
does not exist in individuals in an effective manner. By doing assignment, I have
enhanced my academic writing skills and maintain integrity. I will try to develop my
assessing skills for achieving my personal goals in a strategic manner. It is
important for individuals to discover their comfort zone and try to come out of it for
making better decisions in my employability skills.

Conclusion
From the above mentioned information, it has been concluded that reflective
practice plays an important role in summarising learning experience of individuals
in an effective manner. Gibb's reflective model provides a structure for concluding
all the learning activities as well as evaluate them in a strategic manner. This helps
learners in evaluating their development on the basis of personal, professional and
academic aspects.
