EXPERIENCE OF UNDERTAKING
THE ACADEMIC ESSAY
When I was provided with the essay topic I started jotting
staff in a form of outline as ideas ran through my mind.
However, when I got the necessary ideas about outlining my
academic essay I started to streamline my ideas with that
framework and the task of writing the academic essay got
momentum.
This experience of writing an essay comparing the education
culture of UK and India is of special significance for me.
This is firstly because, as I have highlighted in the essay
Indians really do have high esteem of studying in the UK
based colleges.
Never the less I was also a member of that group. However,
analysing the factors highlighted by Devlin (2016), I can
reflect that I always had critical mind to perceive the
limitations of education system of my home country.

In the study skills classes I got detailed idea
about how to structure an academic essay.
Even I also learn how to put in the raw
research data to fit into the structure
provided.

systems of both countries in the study skills
sessions (Chokwe 2015).
In fact, the reference link that was provided

From next time onwards I will start writing my
assignment much earlier.
This time, I had invested its time in
researching.
One of the areas of weakness that I have
identified while writing the essay this time was
that I am not able to comprehensively
streamline my research data to develop an

From the next time onwards I will be investing
more time on researching how to develop
critical argument regarding the issue of debate
that is critical to the essay.
