Introduction
This particular study aims to reflect own view regarding certain aspects. The study provides a
brief knowledge regarding the water mining aspects in the Tweed valley. Then the study also
discusses that engineering management of Gold Coast City Council. After that, this particular
study provides an elongated stakeholder analysis of the new public hospital in the Tweed area.
Lastly, the study discusses the core concept of Adani coal mine case study, which also helps to
attain the aim of this project.
Water Mining Tweed Valley
Tweed River is situated in the New South Wales of Australia. For instance, it can be asserted that
this river is located between the state boundaries between Queensland and New South Wales.
Apart from this, water mainly used for agriculture to harvest crops efficiently. With the help of
sufficient water, farmers can be able to continue their harvesting activities properly. Water is
mainly accumulated from three different sources to successfully run the agricultural function.
Water which helps to make the soil moist is called green water, whereas, renewable groundwater
is also known as blue water and non-renewable groundwater is known as fossil water (Raju and
et al., 2016). According to my perception, in irrigated agriculture, water is mainly used in order
to improve the overall production level. Extraction of water from renewable groundwater sources
is known as water mining. Moreover, with the help of water mining facilities, I think the
government of Australia will be able to provide water in a varied and structural way with
effective distribution. In relation to this, Australia can improve its agricultural structure. I think

water mining is an important tool for irrigated agriculture and due to the reason of water mining,
the Valley of Tweed River became enrich with the fertile value of soil, which helps to improve
the productivity of crops. It will also help to meet the daily demand of food efficiently. On the
other hand, it can be asserted that mining water also used for extraction of vital minerals, which
may be in the sold form (Bustamante and et al., 2016). From the aforementioned discussion, I
can understand the government of Australia should extract water from the Tweed River for
supplying water to the different geographic location of Australia to improve the agricultural
function. Moreover, the mining water must be utilized by the government of Australia for
extracting minerals from sources, which helps to address the risks of minerals extractions.
Gold Coast City Council from an Engineering Management Perspective
City of Gold Coast engineers is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure of projects. Moreover,
the engineers are also responsible for manage the project in order to complete the project within
the specified timeframe. As per my understanding, it can be asserted that the engineers of the
City of Gold Coast mainly involved themselves in several types of projects such as road and
building design, transportation, geotechnical investigation and design, beach and foreshore
design and others to improve the infrastructure of the city. On the other hand, I can understand
that the top level management of engineering department is also responsible for motivating their
subordinates to improve individual’s performance that will also help this department to meet
their desired goals within a specific time. In order to run the work properly, it is one of the prime
responsibilities of the higher authorities of engineering department of Gold Coast City Council to
allocate the right amount of resources to each and every team to complete the assigned task
within a particular time (Muurmans, Leahy and Richards, 2016). Recently, Australia has faced

tropical cyclone Oma. In order to protect people from this cyclone, the engineering department
of the City of Gold Coast has taken certain innovative measures. Oma has created a direct impact
on the Queensland and NSW coast. The engineering department has taken certain appropriate
measures to handle the crisis after Oma. On the other hand, I think it is one of the prime
responsibilities of an engineer to accumulate feedbacks from their clients to identify the areas of
improvement. According to that, the engineers of the City of Gold Coast can be able to make
certain appropriate strategic decisions to improve their service quality to meet their client’s
expectation level (Hales, Lazarow and Ware, 2017). With the help of advanced technologies,
engineers can be able to develop appropriate designs to carry out their job responsibilities
properly. In relation to this, it can be said that with the help of advanced technologies, engineers
can be able to improve the overall infrastructure of Gold Coast City.
Relocation of a New Public Hospital for the Tweed Area
A stakeholder is a person or a group, who are actively engaged in the overall activities of an
organization. Moreover, it can be asserted that stakeholders of an organization may influence or
be influenced by the activities, objectives, and policies of the organization. Employees, director,
creditor, suppliers, government, trade unions are also considered as the stakeholder of an
organization. The stakeholders of the new public hospital are doctors, nurses, medical
technicians, lab assistant, patients, equipment suppliers, and other staff members. In order to run
the business operation properly, I think organization should develop a healthy relationship with
its stakeholders. Likewise, in order to run the business operation of the new public hospital, the
top level management of this organization should take appropriate strategic measures in order to

develop a healthy and friendly relationship with their stakeholders that will also help to attain its
pre-determined goals within a specific timeframe (Payne and Calton, 2017).
Simultaneously, it can be asserted that the top level management of the new public hospital tries
to develop a healthy and friendly environment within their organizational culture to gain their
stakeholder's loyalty. Moreover, I believe that communication tool plays an important role in
stakeholder engagement. With the help of an effective communication tool, an organization can
be able to understand their stakeholder needs and demands. According to that, the top level
management makes and implement certain adequate plans to accomplish the needs and demands
of their stakeholders. Likewise, it can be said that the new public hospital of the Tweed area also
tries to develop a healthy relationship with their stakeholders to run their business operation
significantly (Vracheva, Judge and Madden, 2016). The management tries to restructure its
business environment in order to attain their stakeholder’s interest, which also helps the company
to gain their stakeholder’s loyalty. Before implementing any policies and strategies, the new
public hospital should conduct market research programmes to determine the actual demands of
their services and also identify the marketing strategies of their competitors. In relation to this, it
will help this company to attain its pre-determined goals efficiently. I think investors of the new
public hospital has the interest to earn huge amount of money, whereas the interest of local
people is to get a suitable job. In addition to this, every patient has an interest to avail premium
quality medical services.

Adani Coal Mine Case Study
In the year 2017, approx. 16000 people from different geographic location came together to
protect against the Carmichael coal mine. In addition to this, it can be asserted that there are
enormous political events against the mine. Moreover, some of the political campaigns have
received heavy media coverage. According to sources, it can be asserted that the Carmichael coal
mine was established by the Adani Group in the year 2010. Initially, the company assumed that
they extract approx. 60 million tons per year for 150 years. Due to some reason, the project
timeframe has been reduced to 60 years and the estimated coal production was 2.3 billion tons.
Meanwhile, the Adani group acquired that Abbot Point coal terminal of Queensland by providing
$1.98 billion to the government of Queensland for 99-year lease. The company planned to export
coal from the Carmichael coal mine to India for running the activities of Power pants of Adani
groups (Brevini and Woronov, 2017).
Simultaneously, it can be said that this export activity has created an adverse impact on the
environment. This mine is considered as the major cause factor of climate change in Australia.
Moreover, I think the export of coal has created a negative impact on the Great Barrier Reef. In
addition to this, this mine produces approx. 4.7 billion tons of greenhouse gas, which has
adversely affected the normal harmony of society. From several researched journals, it can be
asserted that this coal mining is highly responsible for global warming. In order to protect the
environment from this mining company, Australian government reforms their legal structure,
which has strongly affected the business operation of the Adani group. Therefore, the Adani
group should obey the reform rules and regulations of Australia to successfully run their business
operation within the operating market of Australia. Carmichael coal mine should obey the

and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, Water Act 2000 and other acts while running their
business in the market of Australia (Steffen and et al., 2017). The stakeholders of Adani coal
mine are employees, investor, government, other industries, and others. Every stakeholder has
different types of interest level, like investors of Adani coal mine has tried to earn a huge amount
of money and at the same time, employees always try to work in a healthy atmosphere.
Conclusion
Based on the aforementioned aspects, it can be concluded that water mining helps a country to
run the irrigation activities efficiently and also extract minerals from the solid elements, whereas,
engineering management is playing a vital role to improve the overall infrastructure of society.
Stakeholder engagement is highly essential for an organization to run its business operation
flawlessly. With the help of this study, I can understand the case study of Adani coal mine.
