INTRODUCTION
This report aims to reflect upon the feedback. The knowledge that I got from the
feedback and the areas that will help me in development. Gibb's model of reflection is also part
of this report.
MAIN BODY
Part 1
Reflection on feedback
First of all, I want to thank my peers for giving me such a reliable feedback. I want to say
that the feedback given is objective and helpful for me. Yes, my peers have taken into
consideration my areas of strengths and weakness. They have analysed the research report in an
effective manner. I am able to know about the areas that I am good at and at the same time there
are some areas that I need to improve (Weber and et.al., 2018). They have given their time and
have critically given me feedback. I am happy that they liked the topic of research and the
objectives that was so important for me. I have got positive feedback related to proper usage of
secondary data. It helped me to analyse the significance of training and development regarding
the employee motivation and retention in retail sector.
The main help that I will get will be from the negative aspects. As I will be able to
develop them. I have understood that having more than 3 objectives may be risky. As it becomes
difficult to satisfy all of them and it enhances the complexity of my research. It is seen that
secondary research will help to satisfy the objectives. Along with that, I will take care about my
work count as that become unmanageable in the end. I will distribute the works for all the parts
of research. I liked the suggestion of writing down the information in appendix as that will also
help me to manage my work count. Along with that noting down only relevant and most
appropriate information will also help me to manage the word count and will assist to complete
the research report on time (Anseel, 2017). The topic is of great importance and my peers feel
the same. As there is need of motivation to employees. As Covid-19 has impact on the morale of
employees. I have also used Gantt Chart that helped me to complete the project on time. As it has
timelines according to which research is completed. By providing motivation to the employees
the overall performance of the employees can also be enhanced. It is necessary to note that need

of peer's feedback will help us to make improvements and complete the research more
appropriately.
From the feedback, I am able to know about the areas of strength. I will use the points in
future as well. All this will help me to do all the research in future effectively. I has enhanced by
confidence level and this will help me to work on future projects in an effective manner. As per
the feedback I have followed all the academic purpose and worked with academic credibility.
There was need of secondary research as per the topic that I selected. So, I am able to complete
the research effectively because of right research methods being used. I have not used any
primary data to work on the research report. I choose right topic for research as well as used right
methodology to conduct this research (Krackov and et.al., 2017). I am also happy to know that
the data used by me is also accurate and having knowledge of all these point will help me in
future and I will be able to conduct the research effectively. This is necessary for me work on the
areas that need improvement so that I am able to work more effectively in future academic
practice.
Part 2
Gibb's Model of Reflection
It is a reflective cycle that was given by Graham Gibbs in 1988. In this model the
experience is shared and all the points that help to learn and plan are developed. One is able to
know about the positive as well as negative things associated with the experience (Adeani,
Febriani, and Syafryadin, 2020). In the end action plan is also formulated that helps to enhance
the skills that will help in future. The model has 6 stages that are discussed below:
Description: The situation is described in this stage. While completing the module I am
able to enhance my overall skills and knowledge. It is important to work with full concentration
and dedication. There are so many skills that are developed while completing the module one of
them is research skills. I have understood the importance of research and the various methods
that facilitate the research. Basically I have used secondary research in order to complete the
project.

Feelings: I was little worried and tensed in the beginning of the module. I was unable to
understand the concepts as the topic was new to me. I was unable to concentrate in the beginning
as I was tensed. I started thinking that what will happen if I will not be able to understand the
concept. I was having negative feeling in the starting but afterwards due to my understanding
skills I was able to grab the knowledge effectively (Markkanen and et.al., 2020). I was able to
analyse each and every thing and that helped me to boost my confidence. But when I selected the
topic of research I felt confident. As I conducted good resrach on the topic. I reviewed various
articles, journals and online websites. That helped by to enhance by skill of research and I was
able to enhance my knowledge. It is necessary to have faith and stay positive. There is noting
that can not be done in this world. The module is just a small part of learning and education.
When I was able to understand the concept my feeling turned into positiveness and was able to
understand the concept effectively.
Evaluation: In the starting my peers supported me as well as my teachers guided me
well. I was nervous but the support and guidance motivated me and I was able to understand the
concept. As stated able being positive and having attitude to learn makes a person successful. It
is evaluated that support is necessary to understand. Sometimes, we are unable to understand at
the time of lecture but the colleagues help to understand. I am evaluate that team work plays an
important role in learning effectively. I evaluated that there are some major players in retail
sector such as Tesco , Sainsbury, Morrison, Asda and many more. I have evaluated that the
impact on training and development is somewhere similar on the employees of the organisation
in retail sector. I am able to understand all this by conducting secondary research related to the
topic.
Analysis: It is seen that having knowledge about research is essential for me. In the
module I have developed a proper research resort that will help me in future aspects. It is
important to analyse the the situation effectively. I have analysed there is need of concentration
to study the module in an effective manner. It is necessary to be in touch with the colleagues and
take their help in case of difficulty. As I was unable to get right information at a point of time.
They helped me in searching the same and using it appropriately. I have also analysed that there
is need of various skills that help to learn (He, Parkinson and Doyle, 2018). The difficulty of
module does not decide that we will be able to understand or not. It is up to the student that how

he or she learns and understands with focus and dedication. It is necessary to have good team
working skills so that an individual is able to complete the group assignments. It helped to
develop Gantt chart because of which my reach was complete on time. WBS also helped me to
divide the overall work in small activities and complete the work on time. It becomes vital for
the individuals to be attentive in the class and and then complete the work that is taught. I have
analysed that the knowledge that I grabbed at this time will help me in future. There are various
points that will help me while doing job. It is important to note that all this helps to enhance the
decision making skills and take wise decisions. I performed well in my formative assessments
and tried to take the feedback in a positive manner. By working on the areas that are told by the
tutor is necessary and helpful. I am able to enhance all the skills and knowledge by working as
per the feedback (Dhaliwal, Singh, and Singh, 2018). All this helps me to learn in a effective
manner. It is important to learn and perform effectively in summative assessments as well. I have
analysed that punctuality and regularity in class is also helpful and enhances the skills of
individuals to achieve success. It is important to attend all the classes as all the lessons are in
systematic manner. It is important to take all the lessons in an appropriate manner. It is also
evaluated that completing the research in a systematic manner is also important. It is necessary to
work form Gantt Chart and WBS so that the work is divided and time is set that helps to
complete the work.
Conclusion: In the end I want to say that it was a good experience where I learnt a lot.
The knowledge will help me to enhance my knowledge and use all this in future as well. All the
stages have their own experience and the helped me to complete my module in an appropriate
manner. By completing this module I have learnt to make a research report in a professional
manner. Along with that it has enhanced my knowledge about reatil sector. As well as the
importance training and development.
Action Plan: It is important to work on desirable skills and work to enhance the skills as
they are of huge importance. It helps to enhance the skills and take appropriate actions to
enhance them. The time limit in which the skill can be enhanced is also described.
