Plan. Even there will be worked based project which will help to work in one of the most
difficult situation where staffs can show their talent as per the requirement. In the end,reflective
report on contribution to the organisation will also be discussed .
Given Scenario
I am currently working with Greggs Plc which is one of the largest bakery chain in
United kingdom. It is the family business which had been incorporated near around 80 years ago.
Here, in this Greggs Plc I need to work as a warehouse operative. At present, company is using
SAP system through which it can be easily seen that which kinds of activities are being
conducted in the company for the better result. In addition, the main focus in this company will
be on stock control, temperature checking and record keeping. The crucial role of company is to
supply all those products which are required by the customers. The main role of mine is to
handle the boxes, picking and packing of cages manually. It is my duty to have proper detail
regarding the system and it is also necessary to check the temperature of truck.

For me, it is necessary to know about me that what are the possible thing that can be done
within the organisation. For that it is important to know what are my strength and weaknesses
(Farber, Silverman and Von Wachter, 2016). It will be easy to work in a systematic manner if I
will understand myself with the help of different analytical tool. SWOT analytical tool can be
one of the best tool to judge myself.

It is one of that tool which helps to know about the internal strength and it can be of
individual or organisation. Here, SWOT stands for Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and

even it is being said that “what a man can be, he must be” (Healy, 2016). In context of
Greggs Plc, they must try to provide freedom to each and every employees so that they
can work freely in the company for achieving the common goals.
This theory of motivation must be applied within the premisses of a company so that
need and wants can be satisfied. It is important in the context of company, that they follow
Maslow's theory to solve their internal problem which are being faced in current situation.
Recommendation of Appropriate Solution
I think it is necessary that how company interact with their employees as it has the direct
effect on day to day activity of organisation. Manager should plan something new where they
need to give appraisal to all those employees who are working for the welfare of a company. It
is necessary that appraisal are in the form of money because it create positive impact in the mind
of every staffs through which they can work in fluent manner. The main reason behind failure of
company is lack of communication and high turnover of employees. So, I think it important to
maintain the decorum where proper communication is being done at the time of doing any kind
of work and in addition it is necessary to reduce turnover ratio of employees. Even from my
point of view, company should take the suggestion of employee's while taking any kind of
decision because it will increase the interest of staff towards any work which has been assigned
to them. Also, it is necessary for leader to keep motivating every employee's who are working
under him as it will allow staffs to work freely.
Task 4: Reflective
It was important for me that how I perform in Greggs Plc because it is one of the
interesting field. In this company, I have done lots of work where I have applied Maslow's theory
as it is very helpful for everyone who are working with in the company. I have tried my best to

contribute to company where I have suggested many of the new things which includes appraisal
to all those employee's who are working within the country. There are lots of area which are still
need to be focused and for that I have prepared PDP which will enhance my knowledge to work
more fluently for company. It is necessary that how company is implementing on my plans as
they will surely enhance the result in future. As, employee's were unable to work freely in the
premisses of company and because of that predetermined targets were not being achieved on
time so on this point I suggest the company to provide freedom to worker which will enhance
their performance.
Comparison between Gist Ltd and Greggs Plc
The requirement of doing Comparison is important as I used to work for Gist Ltd
previously but due to some problem in management system and technology I didn't continued for
Gist Ltd. This was the main reason why I have changed my company and joined Greggs Plc.
Below comparison has been done on regards of Gist Ltd (last company in which I was working)
and Greggs Plc (the company in which I am working currently)
It was never easy to work in any of the company but while comparing Greggs Plc with
Gist Ltd it can be easily said that I have learn lots of new things in Greggs Plc as they provide
lots of opportunity to employee's while comparison is done. There technology which is being
used in Greggs are more helpful due to which it can be said that there is no problem in managing
the stock which I used to face in Gist Ltd. Greggs plc have tough me a lots of things which are
helpful for me in working within or outside the company. Even the best part which was being
followed in this company was management system and because of that it can be seen that
