INTRODUCTION
Business environment is the combination of internal and external elements that impact on
productivity and profitability of the business. These factors are social trends, suppliers, owners,
activities by government etc (Linder and Williander, 2017). To understand the report analysis the
environment of Ryanair company, which is an Irish budget airline that was established in 28
November 1984. The headquarter of the organisation situated in Swords, Dublin, Ireland. The
report consist of analysis of PESTLE, SWOT and Porter's 5 Forces.
MAIN BODY
Business Analysis Tools
To analysing the environment of the Ryanair company require to apply business analysis
tools that support to understand in different environment how to company respond. These tools
are:
SWOT Analysis: This analysis apply by every organisation to know inner position of the
company and take advantages of competitive environment. There are defined strength, weakness,
opportunity and threat of the Ryan air company. Strength: The main strength of the company provide tickets on low cost all over the
airline world. It provides services in different country and with more than 1600 routes
across 30 countries in Europe and North Africa. They have 186 airports and management
mainly focus on the innovation due to change of nature of short haul flying. Weakness: Ryanair earning based on the seasonal so its profit increasing on a strong
northern hemisphere summer. The brand of Ryanair has performed poorly in a range of
polls, awards and survey (Dyllick and Muff, 2016). Opportunity: The main opportunity have company to improved customer service to
engage with long time with the organisation where consist of attractive look and feel,
designed website. Recently airline launch the business traveller product to improve
customer service. In which including choice of reserved seats, premium rows.
Additionally, airline order new aircraft to provide different options to customers.
Threat: Ryanair have strong safety record but due to random suggestions in some
sections. The thoughts of the lingers and a major accident could be harmful for the

position of Ryanair and analysis the growth plans. Due to increase competition, the price
strategy match with the other airline that create huge competition for the Ryanair (SWOT
Analysis of Ryanair. 2019).
PESTLE Analysis: This analysis provide information of external factors that impact the
performance of the organisation and understand how to airline face the external factors.
Political: The UK government charges the advanced taxes from the from the commercial
air line that impact on the revenue of the business. Due to long haul passengers increase tax and
also for short haul. So it will impact on the profit of the airline industry and also on the Ryanair
with travellers on short hauls opting for trains and buses. Due to Brexit airline industry affect and
prepare yourself to get license from the British (Vij and Bedi, 2016).
Economical: Due to instability in the fuel price is critical issue for the airline industry.
Ryanair is particularly more undependable regarding to fuel prices that arise any time and
without fuel airline cannot survive. In the last quarterer 2008. the fuel price was in its hike and
losses the $130 million dollar due to paid amount of fuel.
Social: Ever passenger wants to safety and Ryanair focus on this when travel for long
distance. In case of Ryanair aware for the terrorist attack so for this get boarding pass from the
passenger and the income of airline is decreasing. It there is coming any changes in the European
union so direct impact on the airline industry.
Technological: In present time mostly people prefer to book ticket online and increase
development in the technological innovations that applied in the airline industry. Through video
conferencing facility to individual (businessmen) so they do not feel the travelling. Ryanair
provide advanced technology based facility such as movies during to flights, audio songs and
many others (PESTLE Analysis. 2019).
Legal: The airline industry follow the all rules and regulations that related of the airline
industry and face the issue of airport ownership. Recently, Ryanair face the problem of legal
action from the customer to fighting to force of the low cost airline to stand by EU compensation
rules.
Environmental: In modern time increase awareness regarding to environment so people
book tickets after predication of the environment. The UK government also make different
policies of environment protection and introduce the EU Emissions. So it is required to airline
