Kolb’s reflective cycle
Kolbe’s model represents the four learning stages which are as follows:
Concrete experience: During learning session I encountered a new experience as before I used
to be a introvert which restricts me to interact with others, also I feel nervous to ask tutor about
queries. But by working on group project help me to develop interactions with others, I also
developed confidence to efficiently communicate with my tutors or others.
Reflective observation: After working in team I found that what things went well and what are
some inconsistencies, self-reflection helps me in knowing the information so that I will not make
mistake in future (Shivni and et.al 2021). I also asked queries to my peers so that with their
views I will make modification for better outcomes.
Abstract conceptualisation: In this I begin to draw the conclusion over reflection as what I did,
in this I used the theories and logics to examine the problems.
Active Experimentation: As by learning the communication skills helps me a lot to clear my
doubts, it helps me in communicating with others, with this I also used to take part in debates and
group discussions.
