REFLECTIVE ACTIVITY Analysing the challenge The T- Shirt challenge mainly included the fact that the how much creative we can be and how much out of the box thinking are we able to develop (Sankaranarayanan and et.al., 2019). We undertook many perspectives bore finally deciding on the kind of t- shirts that would be sold, the customers segment to be targeted and the marketing strategies that can be implemented. I indentified that we should go for graphic t- shirts rather than normal because they are more in trend, the marketing strategies were developed correctly through social media tools, and the financing aspect was also evaluated as we developed a proper budget for this. Reflection on skills On the basis of the different skills that were utilise, I can adequately say that there were a varietyofskillsthatIwasabletodevelop(Otte,KonradtandOldeweme,2018).The communication skill especially came in utilisation when I was dealing with different kind of customers and I realised that emotional Intelligence is a very important aspect in ascertaining the mood of the customer and then targeting them thoroughly. Additionally, since I was working in a team I was able to identify the different aspects of the teamwork where I ascertained that the others can also present innovative ideas but the key is to listen to them. I acted as a problem solver in our team due to the quicker decision making skills and good innovative thinking that I possess. Overall, I can conclude that I am very effective at working in the team with different people. Apart from these skills, I realised that my time management skills are not very well developed. The major reason behind this is that I get in too much detail before completion of any tasks and sometimes this leads to delay where I am unable to meet my deadlines (Veine and et.al., 2019). Therefore, this is one aspect that I found negative during the team work that we got engaged in. however, apart from this I can say that my presentation skills were excellent as I was able to attract the attention of many of the customer and also my business skills were very well developed as I helped in increasing the number of sales that we were incurring. Regarding the MS- Office and ICT skills I can say that I had the best command on use of excel as compared to that of my other team mates and was most proficient with the use of software, designing tools etc. 3
Impact on personal development Overall, I can conclude that the t- shirt challenge helped me in meeting the various aspects of myself and helped me in critically analysing myself. This challenge contributes in the personal development aspect as well because I was able to identify what are those areas in which I need to develop myself (Chen and et.al., 2019). I can adequately say that I will definitely work on better time management skills and also make myself more acquainted and skilled with the relevant ICT management skills as these are necessary in every field of work whether it is academic or in professional context. Collectively I can say that this challenge helped me in evolving myself as a person and a team member. 4
