Section 1: Introduction to idea and its proposed development
Since earth is moving with not only the trees and nature but also the wastages that are
extracted by the humans. These are the wastages which are produces by human when they are
required but after its use they are not worth to humans. The most important wastage which is
extracted by human is plastic. Plastic is a type of wastage which is not going to decompose
easily. It takes hundreds of years to decompose into soil. That is why plastic is so hazardous for
our society since it taken many years to decompose in to soil and thus it harms our environment
very much. Plastic is used to produce many products such as mugs, toothbrush, buckets, chairs
etc.
In this report, a reflective discussion is made on the new product developed in the
replacement of toothbrush. My new venture is totally based on establishing the new product
which is the replacement of plastic brush. The product which is launched is Bamboo toothbrush.
This toothbrush is launched because it has many benefits. The most important benefit of this
product is that it is environment friendly. Since plastic is not suitable for the nature, therefore it’s
alternate such as Bamboo toothbrush is implemented. As soon as the plan of launching the new
toothbrush with Bamboo comes in mind, the place for this Bamboo tree is also required where
the raw material can be available easily. The raw material which is most required for the
launching of this new product is Bamboo tree. This tree is available in a bulk in the China. The
type of Bamboo available in China is Moso Bamboo which is most suitable for the toothbrush.
Since Bamboo is antimicrobial and biodegradable, therefore it is best suitable for toothbrush.
Ditch the plastic and move on with Bamboo. It is the sole title of my company which is
going to launch a new tooth brush in the replacement of plastic. Since my company is launching
a new product which is environment friendly, therefore the strips in the toothbrush is also
available in nylon 6 which is also degradable in a few months. The wood of Bamboo is
degradable in almost 6 months. Therefore it is used by our company. Bamboo comes in my mind
as a replacement of toothbrush because it is also used in kitchen appliances such as plate of
cutting vegetables and kitchen ware are also made up of bamboo.
When product is developed it is the time for me to find the promotion channel which is
best suited for me and my new venture. The promotion channel used in marketing of new

product is social media advertising and Telepromotions. These are sued because social media has
become a strong tool in now days to promote the product. The details of products and its
facilities reach to the customer automatically as it opens its account. This type of marketing does
not require a huge amount of resources such as human resource; cost and time etc. another type
of marketing is telepromotion. This is a type of promotion technique which is used to market the
product through television and phone calling.
Apart from above, the target customers for the product have a wide variety but the
company often targets the customers of UK and Europe. These are the customers which are
targeted because the factors which allows my product to sell out there is that there is a lot of
purchasing power in that region and customers are always environment friendly. Although
product is available to almost all the people but the target has set already set by the company.
Before targeting the customers, a value creation is also done of our new product. A small survey
by the company shows that almost 80% of the people changes their toothbrush in almost every
two months and 75% of the people try out the new product available to them.
Since the international community is trying to save the environment of the earth,
therefore there are a lot of chances of this new product to survive in market. It is a type of
innovation which is environment friendly and thus its development in future is secured. All the
countries in the world are now making some policies so that they can preserve their environment
and that is what required by them. Therefore I can suggest that this product has bright future in
the competitive market. The competitors of this product are also available but there is huge
difference between them and us. The difference is that they a huge market in the world but I have
chosen UK and Europe. Apart from that they have a slow distribution channel and if I distribute
my product with a rapid speed it can cover the entire market in a few times.
In this process of developing new venture I have learned how to raise funds through
crowd funding.
Section 2: Opportunity Formation
The problem which I perceive in my specific market is the problem of poor transportation
of student’s from one place to another. The problem in transportation is that the students take too
much time by traveling in UoR campus. Their valuable time was important for the project which

I was looking for them to enter in the premise of project. This is very crucial for me to wait for
them because their appearance was also important to the succession of the project. I need this
problem to be solved as soon as possible because it leads to unnecessary delays in the projects.
The opportunity I see in solving the problem of transportation in the university is Golf
carts. Since golf carts are heather for the environment and beneficial for the campus of
University also, therefore I suggested this to the solution to the transportation problem. The
transportation between the campus of university by Golf carts is not an specific idea because it
has already been implemented in the university of Florida. I also suggested this idea of
transportation because it is positive through the aspects of environment and our project is also
focusing on environment.
The value proposition that I have introduced in section one is that My golf carts can make
an effective and valuable transportation of students from one place to another. In case of green
and electric carts, the students will engage in going through the electric carts. Therefore golf
carts are efficient enough to make students also healthier. The health issue of students is also in
my mind that is why I have recommended this type of transportation between the lecture theaters
of university.

For my business presentation, I have conducted a survey among 20 undergraduate
students and 10 post graduates students to ask them three main questions. The questions are
asked to check whether the transport service offered by me will be good or bad. The explanation
was asked about the position of their answers.
The questions asked by me to the above graduates and post graduates are as follows:

 If they would pay for a buggy transport service in all weather during lecture hours?
This is the question asked by me to the post graduates and graduates because of the payment
settlement from my side. The payment option for the students is variable if they want to pay
for the whole season at a time. This is essential from my side due to the succession of the
transportation of people in the university campus. The succession of transportation also
depends on the succession of project assigned with the launching of new products. Therefore
I have asked them about their views. The views offered by them answering about this
question are that the service is good to implement in the university.
 If they would pay a daily subscription charge of £5.00.
The answer explained of this question is that they are all set to know about the third option.
This is happened due to the availability of option in the previous question. Therefore the
students who are post graduates and graduates are seeking for another option. They have to
choose from one of the three options available to them.
 If they would pay a per ride charge of £1.00 instead of a daily charge.
This is another question asked from the graduates and post graduates students to travel in the
university campus. This is the last option to them to ask from my side. Now is the turn to
select anyone from these three questions. Although without having giving answers they
appreciate the process of transportation from my side.
From the above questions I asked to post graduates and graduates, they asked me to pay
on daily basis by £1.00. This is better option for them to perceive. When I interviewed two
undergraduate students and two post graduates students by asking them why my opportunity
was good or bad. They answered me that this is a good opportunity because with the help of
this opportunity they may be able to save the environment and their time also. I also want to
develop this opportunity to students when I heard that they appreciate my model of
transportation in the university campus.

Section 3: Opportunity Development
The development of entrepreneurial idea is necessary for the development of new
venture. To develop the idea of entrepreneurship the idea of Information Memorandum is done
by raising the funds to support the business (Gastel, B. and Day, R. A., 2016). The funds which
are which are required to support the business are available through crowd funding. Crowd
funding an idea of collection of funding through availing a proposal to person on internet which
are often used to invest in new venture. This will help the company in raising the funds so that
they can develop their business by the funding. The proposal of crowd funding is has some
specific rules so that it can attract the people to donate.
Master the headline
The headline of the project should be specified before identifying the project. This is
essential step because an investor should know about the business plans so that it can be able to
know about the project with just one line. The headline of proposal makes the investor eager to
read about the business project fully so that if it would be beneficial for it. If the reader thought
of the proposal an interesting one than it will be beneficial for the new venture. In case of
Bamboo toothbrush the proposal should be made of master headline so that investors will be
attracted towards it.
Write fluently
The content of the project proposal should be written fluently which would make in
readable and the process of flowing of the content will be nice. This will help the reader in
reading the content written in a single time so that it should not wait to understand the content
that what is it about to say. There is much guidance on internet so that it can help the writer to
write fluently to the proposal. In case of the Bamboo project, I have to write the proposal in a
good manner so that it cannot hinder the reading ability of an investor.
Be approachable
The content which is going to written by me should be approachable so that it would
clear that what the product is manufacturing and what the customer is required. There is no
investor in this world that used to invest where there is no approach to the product with their

customer. The product manufacture has deep customers who are there to use that particular
product. In case of Bamboo toothbrush, the company is looking to target the UK and Europe
customers.
Keep things short and sweet
The information of the product which is going to deliver should be clearly mentioned in
the project so that it would be easily readable by the investor. The content written in the proposal
should be short and sweet enough so that it would not take so much time to read and it would be
understandable to the investor also. In case of Bamboo toothbrush, the content written by me
should be short and sweet to attract the investor easily.
Add a drop of encouragement
The investor should be encouraged enough so that it will not stop itself to invest in the
company. In case of Bamboo toothbrush, the investor should know about the benefits, target
customers and the future sustainability of the new venture and product. This will help the
investor not to think about the above aspects. This is good to make it encourage investing in the
venture so that funds could be raised.
Emphasis accuracy
There should be accuracy in the proposal which is going to the investor to read. The false
information ones makes it available to the premise of company but in future it will make a false
impact of the company in the minds of investor. In case of Bamboo toothbrush, the investors
should be able to know about the accurate knowledge of the company so that they may be able to
invest in the company with their full interest. Accuracy will help them in increasing the faith
about the company.
Create a sense of urgency
The proposal should be made that it would look urgent for the investor to invest in the
company. IT will be in that way that if the investor is not investing in a particular time than it
will be in a lot of chance for the investor. If this happened with the investor it would make it
eager to invest in the company as soon as possible. In case of bamboo toothbrush, the proposal

should be made like that it is an essential project to be launched in just a few days. This will
make the investor early to invest in the company.
Before developing the proposal for the investor to invest in the company I have applied
for a loan in the bank for assessing the funds. But it has nit possible due to declination of funds
by the banks. After this condition I have decided to raise funds through crowd funding. Crowd
funding is required due to the lack of funding to start the business. The paucity of financial help
can be fulfilled by crowd funding. The funding through crowd funding is an easy task for me
because I know that this s project where the funds can be arranged easily by making the people
understandable about the project. Therefore I have used crowd funding to raise funds for the
project.
Section 4: Conclusion
According to this essay it can be concluded that the new venture of Bamboo toothbrush is
an innovative thin king to stop the hazardous wastages to involve in the environment. This is
why because this is a biodegradable substance rather than that of plastic which are used already.
In case to develop this venture a crowd funding is raised which helps the new venture in the
development of the project? Another way for developing the business is that it should be
implemented in China so that the cost of raw material and transportation should be avoided that
will help the new venture to decrease the cost of its products. The process for the development of
venture is also illustrated below:
1. Student-centered problem in a sprawling campus with tight lecture schedule
2. Opportunity recognition by exploiting unused golf buggies next door to University main
campus.
3. “Green” value proposition that helps students turn up punctually & thereby maximize value
from teaching, while reducing footprints & enhancing green campus.
“The golf cart opportunity, initially for University students, could also apply in other universities
with sprawling campuses. In the UK, there are over 100 universities with green campuses outside
city centers. A student or outside venture could be set up to buy and run buggies in other
campuses, partly funded by the respective university and partly through equity crowd funding. A

trial period could be set up in each campus, initially as a six-month pilot, that offers free rides for
all registered students. Once students get accustomed to buggy rides, then the service could start
collecting fees per ride, or by subscription. The golf cart idea could be expanded to tourist sites
with sprawling acreage.
