Personal Experience
I would like to discuss about my experience of working in a team at the time to learn
accounting. My first assignment with the group was related to Cash flow in accounting. At the
time of working on cash flow, I made a mistake. I made the mistake at the time of the calculation
of the weekly profit in order to determine the cash inflow. There was not any complexity in the
calculation, but I made the mistake due to lack of attention. There was not anyone of my team
present when I made the mistake and I did not find anyone to discuss the mistake.
The above-mentioned mistake in the calculation of weekly profit helped me in many
ways. As I have mentioned earlier, there was not anyone present of my team with whom I could
discuss the mistake. For this reason, I had to check the whole solution from myself to find the
error. This process has helped me in reviewing other part of the cash flow. After a thorough
analysis of my solution, I discovered that I did not consider one crucial part that contributed to
the mismatch in the profit. After that, I corrected the solution. From this, I have learnt the lesson
that I needs to be extra careful while doing the calculations for cash flow as one minor error can
damage the whole cash flow.
I am confident that this experience will help me in future as I have learnt from this
experience that I should be more careful while doing cash flows. Moreover, I also need to
recheck my solution to ensure the correctness.

Group Work Experience
I also have some experience at the time to work in the team. After the above-discussed
mistake, the members of the group helped me in the rectification of other mistakes. I would like
to mention the fact that I did not do any mistake while working with my group.
One of the major advantages of working in the group for me was that I used to receive
multiple points of views on one problem. Different members of the group used to come up with
different kinds of point of view on the same topic and these helped me in exploring the topic
from different dimensions. In the presence of different kinds of point of views on the same topic
or problem, the group members used to come up with different ways of the same problem.
According to me, the presence of some major aspects needs to be there for the effective
functioning of the group; such as commitment, effective communication, self-management and
the capacity to resolute the team conflicts. Thus, in future, I will assure that all these aspects are
present in my team for the effective functioning of the team.
Description of Anticipated Difficulty
According to me, the team needs to be operated in a collective manner for ensuring the
effective functioning of the team. At the time of working in the team, I have realized the fact that
miscommunication was one difficulty that could occur to the team. While working in the team, I
noticed that some of the team members lack active listening characteristic and some of them
used to communicate in sarcastic manner. Apart from this, there were some other signs in the
team. I have noticed the fact that most of the team members did not have rapport with the other
members of the team and this is an essential requirement for the success of the whole team.
However, one major positive aspect was that the superiors of the team were supportive as well as

collaborative towards the other team members. They were always ready to resolve the team
conflicts for ensuring the bonding of the team.
Team Strategy
After the observation of these issues related to miscommunication in the team, it was
required to develop a strategy to overcome these miscommunication issues. According to me, the
most important strategy to avoid miscommunication in the group is the regular interaction among
all the team members. For this reason, one major strategy will be to conduct group meeting on
regular basis for the purpose of the evaluation of each other’s work. This aspect will ensure
regular interaction among all the group members. The next strategy is to provide honest
feedback. After the evaluation of work, the group members will be required to provide honest
feedback on the evaluation. In this way, it will be possible to maintain regular integration as well
as communication in the group members.
