Writing a short about yourself
My experience in the linguist world has been quite diverse. My family and I was
living in the china, which is also my native town. Learning English has been a completely
new endeavour, and my journey in term objective reality and subjective adventure has come
to full circle. First of ell before starting with the depiction of my own experience I would like
to inform that Chinese language is not homogenous. Chinese language comprises with
different version or sometime different dialects, which includes, Wu, Cantonese and
Taiwanese. Northern Chinese, popularly known as Mandarin is the mother of 70% of the
Chinese speaker. I particularly belong form that community. Previously before joining this
course I had no knowledge about English, this because English and mandarin actually
functions is very different ways. One has characters and the other has alphabets in it. The
urge to learn English mainly resulted from the need because coming to a new atmosphere I
was not able to effectively communicate. The language barrier was affecting my wellbeing
and I was also getting demotivated, everything were very alien to, thus I could perceive that I
am losing the sense of attachment. Again, it was for this reason that I was feeling quite low.
The is reason I have come to study in your university to gain enough knowledge that will
help to communicate with people. In addition, it will be very beneficial if I could also open
up avenues that will bring some financial gains to my livelihood. This particular course can
be very helpful because it focuses on the bilingual communication. It not only supervises the
verbal communicational skills but also the written formats of writing. They also have a
systematic assessment procedure, where they provide us with the opportunity to examine our
acquired knowledge. The assessment techniques of this particular university is so profound
that it will be very beneficial to me. Initially the problems like having driving license,
interacting with people for direction was a problem, but with the help of this course, I have
effectively translated my driving license, and it is very beneficial to me and I also get the

feeling complacent. Moreover, when I was migrated to Australia I was exposed to a world
full of opportunity as well as miseries. Along with my family, I also found that there were
young people who were in the same boat as I was. Not only the young but also the old ones
who still communicated with their mother tongue and were denied to a vast area of
information. My experience with bilingual skills has helped me to assist people who are in
my immediate circle. The name of the Griffith University is quite a popular one and when I
was going through my adversaries I took are refuge underneath and I was successfully
motivated by it, both subjectively and objectively.
