1REGIONAL GARDEN CLOUD ADOPTION
Answer to question 5:
It is evident from the structure of Regional Garden and the discussion made above
that the organisation has associated itself with remote server administration and the
requirements for such system are large and should be managed adequately to ensure the
functionality of the system. The most prominent tools for managing such systems are the
consoles, server managers and multiple other tools & techniques. Depending upon the
process in consideration and its management the requirement varies and one of the most
prominent example of the same is the knowledge management. For the management of the
organisational knowledge it is of great prominence that the knowledge is shared. Hence, the
same can be assumed for other resources and functions of the organisation. The
recommended means of remote server administration are most prominent for PaaS (Platform
as a service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) instance. On the contrary, the requirement
of the SLA (Service level agreement) management are mostly associated with the cloud
services and resources. The vitality of SLA in the deemed scenario could be understood by
the fact that it assists the user to manage the organisational resources over the cloud. The
services also get a boost in management on adoption of the SLA.
Answer to question 6:
Migration of the system is one of the most complex task and especially if it is
associated with the cloud services. The organisation in consideration (Regional) has decided
to move their email services to the AWS (Amazon Web service) and needs to take
consideration of some of the crucial facts and factors. The discussed section has taken
consideration of those facts and factors and have been discussed as following the following
paragraphs. The factors have been structured in steps to propose a plan of migration.

PREPARE: The first factor that needs to be considered is preparing for the migration
because migration may lead to data loss and multiple other resource wastage situation and
hence, it is advisable to prepare for the adequate data protection while migration. The
purpose of the migration should also be clear because if the purpose of the migration is not
clear then the preparation for migration is incomplete and will eventually create difficulty for
the preparation.
EFGICIENT & EFFECTIVE PLANNING: Another prominent approach that the
organisation should follow while migrating to another cloud service developing a draft
through proper discovery and portfolio planning. The reason for making an appropriate plan
and draft them lays base on the fact that inadequate discovery and planning may revive the
problems that were associated with the older system. The planning includes assessment of the
previous challenges that are the base for the considered migration. The improvements that
are expected from the migration and other necessary details will be part of the deemed step.
The assessment of other critical factors that are associated with the migration such as the
financial assessment, security assessment, technical & functional assessment and others
should also be taken in consideration. The discussed measure is of greatly crucial because it
defines the success of the system and hence demands adequate attention.
TRAINING USERS: The next step that will be of prominent significance is training
the staff in the proposed service. It will ensure that the staffs get familiar with the adopted
service and will mitigate the chances of developing any critical issue. Additionally, the
training will enable the users to understand the feasibility of the migration and the reasons
that are associated with the new service that made it desirable. Another prominent reason for
training the staff in the new service is that the training will enable the users to understand use
(when needed) the new features of the adopted service that made it desirable for the
organisation. The crucial value of training staff could be understood by the fact that the staff
