This study analyzes the relationship between religion and poverty, specifically in Africa, and how it affects human development. The study aims to understand the perception of people on poverty as a religious faith that affects the developmental state of human, making them unreceptive to the changes in their current situation. The study also investigates the role of NGOs in improving the human development index of countries like Africa. The methodology used is mixed, with both secondary and primary sources of data. The study is divided into five chapters, including an introduction, literature review, methodology, results and discussion, and conclusion and recommendations.
