2MOBILITY AND HEALTH SOLUTION FOR REMOTE HEALTH MONITORING
Introduction:
All over the world the expenses of the medical services are quite high. With the every passing
day diseases are being diagnosed. For the critical diseases the time plays an important role.
This is because the more time they take to detect the diseases the lesser time the patients have
with them for the curing process. With the advancement of the technology the mobile devices for
the detection of the diseases have been discovered which helps in the diagnosis of the issues. The
individual can then connect to the specialist within a blink of an eye for solution. The benefit of
the remote health monitoring and health services in curing diseases and other health issues is
discussed briefly in the report. Mobile health has provided opportunities for patients to take
remote monitoring services from the health care centers. With mobile devices the cost of health
check has also decreased and that has benefitted the healthcare centers and patients as well.
Healthcare centers are facing problems to maintain wide number of resources and this mobile
services and web services is profitable for the healthcare centers.
Thesis Statement:
This thesis will focus upon the problems arising in the sector of health care due to the remote
monitoring system and how to resolve the matter as well.
Research Question
How the mobile and web service has provided solutions for issues with remote health monitoring
in healthcare centers?
Discussion:

of the disease has become much easier. The diseases like the diabetics, cancer, and numerous
others is prevalent in the modern day society (Salunke & Nerkar, 2017). With the mobile
services and the internet, reaching out to the remote area of the world has become easier. Just
with the click of the button reports can be generated for example, blood sugar measuring device.
It is a small device which can be carried in pockets and used as per the requirement. This report
can be sent to physicians over the internet media where they can analyse the report and give a
solution. The process is brief and easy. Heart rate monitoring devices are capable of storing the
data of the patients, which can later be analysed by the doctors to determine the progress of the
patients (Krasniqi, Qehaja & Gabor, 2018). However, the main problem is the increasing number
of the resources which is getting out of the hands of the heath care centres. They are unable to
monitor so many cases at ones.
The advancement of the technology has led to the invention of numerous technologies
which are extremely beneficial for the purpose of the health care system. The web services helps
in connecting different applications and software running on separate platforms. This is
extremely beneficial for the purpose of developing a public oriented system of health care. The
web based services are a little different than the traditional client server model. They make use of
the HTTP and the communication protocols which allows communication through the firewall
security of the operating system.
In some of the areas in the world, there are few health care centres and observing the
patients from the remote location is very difficult in those areas. The web based services and the
mobile devices are extremely useful in such areas, as they can generate report and help in
communication over the internet to the nearest health care centre and receive solution or advices
regarding their health issues (Rahman, Jahangir & Khaled, 2017).

4MOBILITY AND HEALTH SOLUTION FOR REMOTE HEALTH MONITORING
As per mentioned by Robin, (2017), Internet of things have played a greater role in the
development of the health monitoring. With the usage of the sensor technologies, the patients’
health can be monitored from a remote location such that the all the health related data can be
gathered and transferred to the cloud with the help of the wireless devices. Certain diseases like
the blood pressure, heart diseases, asthma, blood sugar and numerous others have to be treated
properly and the patients have to be kept under constant observation and reports have to be
generated on a daily basis as the medications depends completely upon the reports. Reaching
out to all of these people is difficult thus the remote health monitoring devices can generate the
reports and send it to the health centres who can revert back with the medication and
suggestions to the patients with the help of the web services as well. IoT can be very beneficial in
this case.
Storing the information from the medical centres have become easier as well with the
technologies like the cloud computing (Rittinghouse & Ransome, 2016). The purpose of the
cloud computing was to access the data from the remote location. The information that is
developed by the monitoring devices and the health centres over the web services and mobile
services, like the information about the patients, names of certain can be stored in the cloud for
accessing them from the remote locations as well (Devara, Ramadhanty & Abuzairi, 2018).
Making the information available, the monitoring becomes easier and faster and more efficient
than the other techniques.
However, there other benefits of using the technology as well. The most significant one is
the cost effectiveness and improved efficiency. A patient can receive personalised health care
advices with the help of this services. The physicians are capable of dealing with more patients at

extremely beneficial for monitoring health. According to Zhang et al., 2015, the traditional
method of diagnosis have become inadequate for the diagnosis of the diseases. Thus to reduce
the burden of the health care centres, the smart devices can be used for the purpose of disease
diagnosis. The doctors can run a diagnosis over the patients at any point of time from remote
locations. Thereby increasing the cost effectiveness of the health services. Moreover, it can said
that with the help of these technologies the monitoring the heath of an individual and suggesting
them with proper medication becomes easier and ultimate satisfaction can be obtained by the
patients. With the usage of technology ability to cure different diseases and monitoring of the
patients with critical health issues have become much easier and effective.
Conclusion:
From the above discussion it can be said that the entire process of the monitoring the
patient’s data with the remote access services results in better observation of the data and
obtaining more accurate real time data. With the introduction of the web services and other
advanced technology in the system more optimized data can be obtained which results in
increasing the efficiency of the physician and the entire process of handling patients and their
