Elements of design
1. Colour- color is believed to influence the mood or feeling of a space in interior designing.

Image A is basically made up of cherry wooden cabinets complemented with white painted
walls. The mixture of the colours compounded with white and black bed sheets give a happy
mood and optimistic feeling. Image B shows living room made of transparent glass walls with
white painted walls showing a green outside giving a tranquil mood or a soothing feeling.

The flooring wooden tiles in image (A) are made and arranged in such way to for zig-zag lines
which depict a sense of motion while in image B the floor space is made of rectangular tiles
horizontally arranged creating a feeling of security.

The use of fluffy green carpet on the floor of the space in image A gives the room a weathered
look while smooth wooden tiles in image B gives the whole room a vintage touch
complemented by scenic from the room.
4. Space- it gives the room its official look.

Image A shows a spacious room with seats and table arranged in a centrally place. This give
more negative space for easy movement and navigation. In image B the room leaves less
negative space which makes ideal to be used as bedroom as there is no need for fluidity in
navigation.
