lawyers. The family of Taylor motivates him to become good advocate. Due to some

work as machinery labour. After some period, Taylor became Chief engineer in that
company. Frederick Winslow Taylor did his graduation in the mechanical engineering by
joining the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. F. W Taylor made efforts to enhance mass
production with the help of value of scientific management theories before leaving this
corporation in year 1901 (Vijai, et. al, 2017). After leaving this job of Bethlehem Steel
Corporation, F. W Taylor started to encourage the scientific management in front of public.
Taylor made the publicity by conducting the seminars, by conducting lectures and the

technologies. Taylor was pre classical contributor. F. W Taylor addressed various systems to
the industries. The scientific management system refers to a system influencing
manufacturing efficiency by finding one best way to do each work. F. W Taylor invented the
motion study of work procedures by the measure, established the principle’s range to increase
the efficiency (Morden, 2017).
The scientific management system involves the numerous bonus incentive plan and wages
plan, philosophy of the authorities in a company and technical range for the evaluation of the
output and input of the works. Reasonably, this modern fundamental area of management
made influences over various opponents. It was claimed by various opponents that this theory
of F. W Taylor abuses the employees of the company. F. W Taylor made the rational
revolution between managers and employees. These systems are as follow-

2. Structured labour relationship
3. Quality management
4. Technologies management
5. Reimbursement management
6. Accounting cost control
7. Operations procedure control management

Significance of development and new idea
It was believed by F. W Taylor that the utilisation of the principles related to engineering will
lead to the decline of the wastage and increment of the effectiveness and manufacturing,

which will not be beneficial only for the business, but also for the societies, communities and
the workers generally. In this way, this new idea and development of F. W Taylor was
considered as very significant (Kearney, 2018). The traditional theories made by the F. W
Taylor are very useful and significant for influencing and guiding the latest management
practices. The new ideas of Taylor was useful to resolve the issue of labour management
relationships.
The innovation in the industrial engineering, specifically as per motion study and in period,
made pay off in theatrical expansions in the efficiency. Taylor warned of the risk manager
makes in making the attempt to initiate changes in what will currently be addressed, the
principles, and value of a company. F. W Taylor introduced the significance of management
commitments and a requirement for regular application and training. Taylor defined "an
actually big issue" included in the changes contains the whole insurrection in the
psychological approach and the habit of everyone who involved in the management, and
habit of workers (Chang, 2016).
Examples of implementation of management theories
Taylor noted that when illustrations were selected to appeal to the manager and engineer, his
principles could be implemented to the management of the common entity, like houses,
farms, smaller business, generous institution, church, university, and administration. As per
this, the proposal made by Taylor that by making the job simpler, efficiency would enhance.
Taylor also utilised the illustration of Schmidt at Bethlehem Steel Company to examine the
approaches (Savino, 2016). Taylor recognized the probability for abuse in the approaches.
The understanding taken from the correct time study, for an example, is the powerful
application, and may be utilised, in one matter to encourage the synchronization or co-
ordination between the executives and employees (Witzeland Warner, 2015).

REPORT 4
Evaluation of contribution made by Taylor
The big problem in against of scientific management theory was its approaches regarding the
staff of company. This theory took the workers as the machinery. It was supposed by the
workers to end the work in proper effective way and consuming the less amount of period.
This scientific management theory did not focus on the working environment and working
conditions (Shafritz, Ott and Jang, 2015). This theory is criticized by saying that the scientific
management theory gave more support to the management. There were very little to say by
the workers. The management made focus on the increment of the efficiency only. The other
shortcoming of this theory was that it took money as basic motivational resource for the
employees. It was discovered by further studies that money is not only factor to motivate the
workers to become more effective.
The other considerable factors are working atmosphere, and worker’s protection. These
factors encourage the workers to do good job. The assumption of this theory was employees
would work as per desire for high money was flawed. Nevertheless, it is not possible to reject
the influence of the F. W Taylor on management. It is also not possible to find the errors in
the intelligence of Taylor with the help of which scientific management made the lasting
formula to solve the common issues of industries and affected the qualities of life of human
being.
Conclusion
As per the above analysis, it can be concluded that the scientific management system
provided by F.W Taylor is advantageous not only to the employees but also to the industries.
With the help of various approaches, devices and tools, the rate of manufacturing can be
enhanced by the industries. With the help of various cost control technologies, the cost of
production can be decreased and quality control can be improved. The scientific management
