INTRODUCTION
System analysis can be termed out as complex process or operation in terms to improve
its efficiency with help of applying computer system. This is called out as procedure of
collecting and interpreting the facts, identifying the issues and decomposition of system into its
components (Andayani and Dirawan, 2019). In addition to this, analysis can also be termed out
as series of components that performs functions together and this can be termed out as the system
engineering. It is defined as methodology that can be used for developing information system of
high quality that integrates individuals, data and information technology to support and full-fill
business requirements. Thus, it is simple technique that can be used for development of
successful information relates with technology projects. In addition to this, System analysts carry
the responsibilities that undertake the steps such as to researching problems, finding solutions,
recommending courses of actions and coordinating with stakeholders to meet out the specified
requirements.
The present report is based on case study of Gold cinema that needs to develop an online
system in terms to track their customers, to notify them about the upcoming events and to
undertake the identification for customer who frequently uses cinema.
Furthermore, report will outline the activities as to lay emphasise on system development
life-cycle, work break down structure, PERT/CPM chart that aids to explain the early and late
start for each task, return on investment and use the case diagram of the gold cinema online
system.
MAIN BODY
System development life-cycle.
Effective system development life-cycle can be termed out as result of the high quality
system that aids to meet out the customer expectation, reaches completion within time and cost
evaluation. It is termed out as the conceptual model that is inclusive of policies and procedures
that helps to develop and alter system throughout their life-cycle. It is termed out as the
systematic approach that assist to break down the work into phases that aids to execute new or
modified information system (Badawi and et al., 2019). It is model that can be used in defining

MAIN BODY
System development life-cycle.

the stages that are inclusive in development of information system that can be done in terms to
final testing and maintenance stage. Therefore, system development life cycle can be applied to
both kind of system such as technical and non-technical. In addition to this, there are differ kind
of system and each system is varied from each other in relation to complexities, functionalities
and expected solutions. Thus, stages of system development life-cycle assist in developing a
system in a manner in which the risk can be linked with system identified and needs can be full-
filled (Andayani and Dirawan, 2019). In this, the six procedure to the SDLC are needed to be
focused for undertaking development of the Gold cinema project. In addition to this, the
following six phases of the system development life-cycle are outlined as-:
System planning- This is termed out as the one of the effective step that looks over the creation
and development to carry out successful system. In this phase, decision can be taken in terms to
exactly what is needed to be done and what are the main issues that can be resolved with help of
new system (Bohnes and et al., 2019). In this manner, the analysis of GC system needs is
required to be conducted so that new online system can be developed that can full-fill the main
requirements of Gold cinema.
System analysis- This is phase in which end user requirements of the system that are determined
as well as documented. During this stage, the expectation of the client from the analysis can be
analysed so that developers can have the overview of way in which system is required to
developed and performed (Badawi and et al., 2019). At this step, the performance will analyse
the performance of software at varied stage and make note on further requirements.
System design- The one of the main purpose of system design is to transform all requirements
into the detailed specification that is covering of all aspects of system. This must be also access
and plan for the security risk (Duclervil and Liou, 2019). In addition to this, approval to progress
to the development phase must be granted in terms to complete the design phase. In this,
expanded design of oline GC can be designed with help of enhancing and finalizing all technical,
physical and logical requirements of system.
Implementation and deployment- With help of understanding all the requirements relates with
system and specification this phase comes into picture (Hardyanto and et al., 2017). In this, the
actual system development code is written and hardware configuration needed to be done. In this
phase, the online GC system needs to be developed for the use of client.
System testing and integration- After undertaking development, the integration process comes.
Thereafter, the integration of the whole system needs to be done effectively ( Ehrler, Lovis and
Blondon, 2019). This testing phase can be termed out as vital role within SDLC as this assist in
enhancing customer satisfaction. At the time of doing testing of the system, predicted or expected
and expected solutions. Thus, stages of system development life-cycle assist in developing a

outcome are compared with final outcome. After, development of final online GC system all
requirements of system can be tested and analysed whether final commodity full fill all the needs
of Gold cinema.
System maintenance- It is final and crucial phase of the system and in this periodic maintenance
of the system needs to be done in time to time manner. It is stage that is inclusive of the
replacement of the old hardware and continual evaluation of the system to check whether the
needs are updating or not, if its working perfectly or not (Inggi, Sugiantoro and Prayudi, 2018).
Thus, any security threat is needed to focused and worked on to mitigate the issue at the initial
phase.
Work breakdown structure.
Work breakdown structure in project management and system engineering can be defined
as deliverable oriented breakdown of the project into the smaller components. It is defined as key
deliverable that organise the whole team work into the manageable sections. It can be developed
to establish a common understanding of project scope. This is hierarchical description of the
work that can be done to accomplish the deliverable to the project. All the work or task needs to
be identified or tasked within breakdown structure by estimating, scheduling and budgeting the
all activities. WBS needs to be developed in relation to understand the project scope, hierarchical
description of the work in which project is required to be accomplished (Inggi, Sugiantoro and
Prayudi, 2018). It is one of the effective structure that can help to understand the detailed
description relate with deliverables of project. This is helpful in setting few outcomes of system
that collectively required to be accomplished in terms to make the project outcomes successful.
Therefore, this can be stated that the well designed WBS can be helpful in maintaining
the overall quality of the system that is required to be developed. Henceforth, this can be said
that appropriate WBS assist to defining and describing the all the project participants in terms to
make whole work meaningful and manageable.
