Child labour in supply chain
Child Labour consist of initiatives undertaken by ILO, corporate initiatives and government
actions. Child Labour occurs in several occupations which are basically in rural and informal
economies. It also takes place in Labour market governance, trade unions and employer
organisation (Ahuja, 2018). In context of supply chains, child Labour is performed in small
shops or homes. It is very difficult for identifying the remedy for this. There are several children
who are engaged in child Labour with the production of internationally traded services and
products. Child Labour denies boys and girls to have a safe from harm environmental stop they
should be provided quality education and vocational training. Freedom from child Labour is the
fundamental human right for each and every child. In order to manage the child Labour target,
there are collective actions which accelerate progress and make it better for existing knowledge
and resources. There are several enterprises who are pursuing responsible practises for managing
and respecting human and Labour rights in different countries.
For
Child Labour is not that bad what it looks like. If a child wants to earn money and manage his
responsibilities of family, then it is alright for him to work. There is no right which can stop him
from doing his or her own choice. There are many consequences due to which many children
have to do work in small shops and retailer shops. For fulfilling the needs and demands of
families and for getting a penny for food, several children across the world are doing small walk
at several shops (Dinku and Fielding, 2020). It is there need not their want. They have to do such
work for getting money. Government should take initiatives for providing them free education
and free treatment. Just giving a human right is not the authoritative decision. Government must
provide free education as well as food so that they do not have to go to shops in order to earn
money. There are some countries like India, Bangladesh, Uganda comment etc where poverty
rate is very high. In such countries people are involved in child Labour. The reason behind this is
they have to fulfil the needs and demands of families. Lot of people in these countries are having
