INTRODUCTION
Business environment play a crucial role in develop strategies as well as its actual
implementation (Hilton and Platt, 2013). It is very important for company to carefully analyse as
well as evaluate internal as well as external factors of business environment. This will help in
determining positive as well as negative impact of environment of business performance.
Company chosen for this report is Ryanair Airline. This company was formed in 1984 and it is a
Irish budgeted airlines. Headquarter of this company is located in Swords, Dublin, Ireland.
Ryanair is provding its products and services to 40 countries (Ryanair, 2019). In this report all
factor has been analysed of business environment which will have impact on organisation. Tool
that is used in SWOT, PESTLE and Porter's five force.
MAIN BODY
Analysis of Ryanair business environment.
It is very important to analyse different factors of business environment in order to take
better decisions for improving performance of organisation. In order to analyse internal as well
as external factor of business environment various analysis tools are mention below.
SWOT Analysis:
This analysis is a very important tool for determining internal factors that consist of
strengths, weakness as well as opportunity and threats. SWOT analysis of Ryanair company is
mention below.
Strength Weakness
This is a well known company which is
dealing in airline sector (Wetherly, 2014).
Major strength of this company is that it is
providing high quality services in lower cost as
compare to other rival companies. Ryanair is
providing its services to different area which
lead to earn huge profits.
Brand perception of Ryanair company in
customers mind can be considered as it biggest
weakness. This is affecting sales of respective
company. Customer has developed its
reputation as poor service provider due to less
prices of company.
Opportunity Threat

There are range of opportunity available to
respective company which will lead to increase
its market share. It can enhance its customer
services in order to develop strong and positive
image in customers mind. It has opportunity to
increase its customer bases by expanding into
new market area.
The major threat for this company is strong
competitors. There are various companies
which is dealing in airline service sector so
new and strong strategies of other rival
company will have huge impact on its
performance as well as profitability (Harrison,
2013). Accidents is also a threat for this
company as it will lead to have major financial
and life loss.
PESTLE Analysis
This analysis tool consist of different factors of macro environment which can not be
controlled by Ryanair business but it will have huge impact on its strategies as well as important
decisions. Pestle analysis in respect of Ryanair airline is mention below.
 Political factor: This refers to the political system as well as rules or regulation
developed by government will have huge impact on business. Political factor consist of
trade restriction, political stability, policies and many more (Epifanova and et.al., 2015).
UK has stable political party which will have positive impact on respective company as
they can perform its business operations in more effective and efficient manner.
 Economical factor: It consist of economic rate, GDP growth, foreign direct investments,
interest rates and other factors. Economical factor will have direct impact on Ryanair
performance and profits. UK country has one of the strongest growth rate which can be
consider as a advantage for respective company as it will help in successful achieving
desired goals.
 Social factor: Social factor consist of population size, culture, occupation, attitude and
other factor which are related to individuals or consumers. UK country high population
size which have high occupational incomes. This lead to increase the chance of customer
to purchase airline services (Cai and Yang, 2014). Consumers are willing to spends on
ancillaries when tickets are of lower cost. This will have positive impact on respective
company as they can increase its sales and profits.

 Technological factor: This factor refers to new and innovative technology in market
which will help in providing better product and services to customers. Technology factor
will be great opportunity for Ryanair business to perform its activities in more effective
and efficient manner. It is very important that this company is using highly advance and
updated technology in its business in order to enhance customer services.
 Legal factor: Legal factor consist of different laws and legislation developed by
government in order to provide guidelines to business (Bah and Fang, 2015). There are
various important laws such as heath and safety, customer protection, employment laws
and other policies which will have influences on organisation decision making. Issues
with labour union of respective sector can have negative impact on organisation.
 Environmental factor: This factor consist of climate, weather conditions, ecology
system and other environment factors. This company is dealing in airline sector and
environment factor play a crucial role in actual functioning of Ryanair business. When
environment conditions are not good they will not be able to perform its operations and
fly aircraft.
Porter's five force model
This model is very helpful in understanding and determining competitive position of
Ryanair company in respective industry. Porters five force model in context of Ryanair company
is mention below. Bargaining power of supplier: This forces will have high impact on Ryanair business as
there are very few suppliers who is producing air planes. This increase the power of
suppliers with in respective company. Bargaining power of buyers: Buyers will also have high power on Ryanair business as it
customers are only attractive towards business due to low fare (Savrul, Incekara and
Sener, 2014). When buyer will demand for lesser prices company will have to reduces its
cost. Threat for new entrant: Ryanair is a well known brand and its is providing its products
and services from number of years. This reduces the impact of new entrant on
performance of Ryanair company.

 Threat of substitution: This forces will have low impact as there is no threat from
substitution of products. Customer will purchase low fare prices for air tickets as this will
same their time.
 Existing competition: This company is dealing in highly competitive environment which
will have high impact on Ryanair business. High rival among existing customers will
have negative impact on organisation.
Impact of potential strategic solution
After analysing all of these tools and model in order to identify positive as well as
negative impact of business environment in respective company. This will help Ryanair
company to conduct business activities in more effective and efficient manner as well as
achieving set targets.
Recommendations to business
There are some recommendations for respective company which will help them to
increase its performance as well as profitability. For short them this company needs to develop
strategies which will help in attract more and more customers. For medium term, Ryanair
company needs to increase its customers services which will help in satisfying customer desires
and requirement. For long term, this company should focus in develop positive and strong brand
image in customer's mind.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that business environment play a significant
role in organisation as most of the strategies as well as important decisions are based on
environment. Micro and macro factor will have both positive as well as negative impact on
organisation and it will affect its overall performance.

INTRODUCTION
Employability skills can be define as all those skills which is will helps an individual to
perform professional activities in more effective and efficient manner. These skills are
transferable to a person in order to make them employable. It is very important that an
employees must have these skills along with subjective knowledge, technical understanding as
well as different skills which lead to enhance their performance as well as help in achieving
organisation objective. This report is based on the self experience of weak 1-5 during the practice
week exercise. It consist of different skills such as communication skills, team work skills,
problem solving skills and many more.
Employability skills:
During this week exercise I have identified that there are some major skills that are
necessary. Employability skills includes communication skills, ICT skills, research skill, team
work skills, problem solving skills and organisation or time management skills. I have analysed
that all of these skill are very important as it will help in getter better opportunities as well as
growth in career. My experience during practice week exercise is mention below.
Communication skills: These skill play a very crucial role in developing overall
personality of person. There are two different type of communication skill that is verbal and non
verbal communication. Verbal communication refers to a from of conveying message or
information through written or oral words. Non verbal communication consist of gestures,
postures, eye contact etc. During this task I have analysed that I have quite good verbal
communication skill which will help me in conveying my thoughts and ideas in effective and
efficient manner. When I finished by presentation my co worker has complemented me regarding
my presentation skill. I was able to clearly explain each and every point as well as resolve
queries of clients.
ICT skills: This refers to information communication technology skills. This skills is
very important as in today business environment technology play a crucial role in conducting
business operations. I have identified that this skills is affecting my day to day activities and I'm
not able to operate technology in effective manner. Most of my co-works who are good in ICT
skill are able to complete their business activities faster. In order to improve my ICT skills I

started watching videos and using new trick to enhance my skills. There are different shortcut
methods that helped me in making my day task more effectively as well as efficiently.
Research skills: Research skill can be define as a ability of a person to find, search,
collect, analyse as well as interpret data in more correct manner. This skill has helped me in
gathering or collecting more appropriate data and information that is useful for organisation.
During a task I have to collect information which will help business to perform its activities in
more effectively and efficient manner. I have used many sources to collect sources such as online
data, books and other document, experiments, articles etc. In my company I have to research
about various topics which has helped me in enchaining my research and investigation skills.
Numeracy skills: This skills are majorly related to mathematical skills that is very
essential for calculating things as well as taking right decision. I have not so good in this skill as
I have least interest in numbers and figures. I have analysed that I am good in remembering
numbers as well as I have ability to organize information in accurate manner. But I am not able
to calculate faster and I am lacking in calculating skills. In order to develop this skill I have used
various tactic's. I needs to work on this skill as it is very essential for career growth and
development. I have identified that in order to reach higher position in my career I need to
improve my numeracy skills and this skills need practice.
Team work skills: Team work is very important as it will help in achieving
organisational goals and objectives in more effective manner. I have analysed that it is essential
to be a team player within an organisation as well as use full capabilities to achieve team
objectives. When I as assigned in a team task I have understand that I am able to work in
collaborative way and using my full potential to achieve common goals. I was contributing my
ideas and thoughts with other team members as well as supporting other team member to
complete their task. Team work skill has helped me in developing better relationship with other
employees. While working in team task I have learned various new things as well as techniques
that has helped me in enhancing my employability skills.
Organisation and time management skills: This skills are very important in analysing
all task as well as completing it in required time frame. I have identified that I needs to develop
my organisation as well as time management skills in order to complete my all task in more
effective manner. For improve my time management and organisation skill I started writing all
task as well as analysing their priority and importance. This has helped me in setting deadline

for my all task and then try to complete my activity within the set time frame. Time management
skills was very helpful for me I am now able to complete by daily task and activities in more
effective manner. Because of time management and organisation skills I am able to meet with
goals and objectives by making a proper schedules and accomplishing task within set time.
Problems solving skills: This is very crucial skills as each and every person is face some
issues and problems which will affect their performance as well as productivity. Problem solving
skill is important in order to deal with issues in creative and innovative manner. I have strong
emotional intelligence skill that helps me in solving problems in effective and efficient manner.
While dealing this any problem I first analyse as well as evaluate each and every problem very
clearly so that I can understand all aspect of problems. This is very helpful in taking right
decisions which lead to solve problem. I always try to enhance my problems solving skill and for
this I work of different brain logical games and puzzles.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be employability skills are very essential for professional
growth. This skills includes set of skills that can be developed as well as improved as per need
and requirement of an individual. Each and every employee have different employability skills
which attract employer and enhance their career. This skills which helps in remaining
competitive as well as achieving personal or professional goals. This skill acts as an performance
indicators and help in conducting business activities in more effective and efficient manner.
Through this skill an employee will be able to dealing with various issues and challenges.
