Introduction
Sustainability of any organization includes economic, social and environmental sustainability
and the following report will discuss the sustainability issues of Timberwell constructions on the
basis of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2019. In the present time, sustainability is
becoming essential for every organization. Sustainability is good for business as well as society.
Many companies are continuously trying to improve processes and growth to manage
sustainability (Cjm Millar & Gitsham, 2013). Timberwell Construction works to build the
apartments in Stanwell's council district and is a residential development company. The company
has a male staff of 58 persons and all the staff members have work from different areas. But
company is facing many sustainability issues which will be discussed in the following report.
The report that was made is based on economic, environmental and social sustainability.
Economic stability includes a range of disclosures related to legal actions taken for antagonistic
behavior, corruption and financial effects of competitors of this company, while environmental
sustainability has the power and energy consumption and biodiversity implications. The third
type of sustainability is social sustainability which includes discrimination incidents and
operations. In the following report, the Timberwell Construction case study will be analyzed and
evaluated on the basis of reporting standards of GRI.
Economic Sustainability
Economic sustainability, it is a term that alludes to observes that help economic growth.
Economic sustainability used for sustaining the resources to use in future in the context of
economy.

As stated by the recent case, Timberwell took into account the various financial implications of
construction management as a result of changes in the operation of enterprises in the
management of sustainable development. For managing different functions, Timberwell's
management has found various legal charges, punishments and different types of fees. Therefore,
not to comply with environmental laws to impose a fine of $200,000 on Timberwell. Timberwell
Construction also paid substantial compensation amounting to $ 4400 as punishment for
discrimination in the workplace.
The company was managed by various housing projects, where the result of preparing a
rehabilitation plan in the context of the audit payment amount of $ 440,000. The LEP
modifications have been discussed in various rules and regulations, so Timberwell spent
approximately $ 4 million to match the efficiency of construction projects in terms of the new
standard. Also, the professional organization paid $ 50,000 for outdoor urban planning to reduce
the cost of development projects according to the new township.
Timberwell has the firm that an organization has any legal proceedings related to corruption. In
this context, they went on to identify a scam where five Timberwell workers and two business
partners were involved in the fraud. In this fraud, they are treated in illegal practices such as
bribing government officials to influence the process of acceptance of various projects.

companies.

competitive, anti-trust, hostile behavior and monopoly practices may be influenced by consumer
choice, pricing and many kinds of other factors that are necessary for efficient markets. In most
countries, legislation regulates monopoly or promotes economic efficiency and sustainable
development with this concept; try to prevent competition between companies. It is about to
reveal legal action against the company against anti-competitive practices. The number and
outcome of legal actions, including the decision and construction, must be stated to the company.
In this recent case, ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) has gone on to
report a non-competitive activity in the construction market because Timberwell claimed to
affect the risk of contracting and professional losses to the supplier. This is due to a variety of
small companies ready to develop new companies and new enterprise development can have a
negative impact on business conditions and exchange Timberwell’s preparation. Types of anti-
competitive market behavior can negatively affect the business performance of other enterprises.
Furthermore, it changes Timberwell competitive market conditions have been blamed for
competitive development. This situation would have been handled by the ACCC in federal court;
they went to begin the process within four months, then to enforce the veracity of the lawsuits by

has a significant impact on the corporate image of a business unit.
Environmental Sustainability
Environmental sustainability is a term that can be defined as the lack of responsible interaction
with the environment or allowing the escape of long-term degradation of natural resources and
environmental quality. Help to guarantee that natural supportability practices are met without
mischief to the capacity of future ages to address the issues of the present populace. Where
possible, predict a negative impact on local communities and organizations to avoid them. Where

regarding sustainable development according to GRI. Case analysis shows that the company's
corruption, anti-aging, monopoly, and acts that have been violated by these acts are engaged in
anti-competitive behavior. The company must be properly disclosed in accordance with the
principles of all the effects of GRI operations. In addition, specific disclosure requirements with
respect to social, economic and environmental impact should be extended. In the current
