2BUSINESS RESEARCH METHODOLOGYTopic: Critically investigating the factors caused the eradication of businesses in UKIntroduction-The following report is based on the factors causing the eradication of some businesses inUK. A concise description of the problem has been provided with the purpose of the research inthe report. Based on the problem identified a literature review has been conducted in the report.Eventually, the report provides the findings of the analysis addressing the problem identified.Defining the problem to be studied and the purpose of the researchIt has been identified that the business sectors in UK have observed an unexpected shutdown. Specifically, the discount stores and the cafes replaced the traditional retailers with thefashion shops. According to Lasson (2011), 15 shops close each day in Britain, which indicate amore deteriorated situation in the coming days. Wrigley and Dolega (2011) also mentioned thatthere were 15 shops closures in each day in the first half of 2016 and the number of new openinghas fallen to the lowest level for five years. It has also been identified that high streets across UKare under pressure particularly from the shift in spending from the physical shops to online. Onthe other side, it has also been identified that asqueeze on household income,increase inbusiness ratesas well asnational living wage,which have maximized the costs (Hall 2011).Marketers and retailers have mentioned that 2016 has been a toughest market ever and thecoming years would be worse. The current research would help to identify the actual factorscausing the closure of the shops in UK and develop appropriate solutions.
