1BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENTAbstractThe main aim of this report is to analyze and evaluate the competitiveness of the United States(US) car industry. Over the years, many car companies have entered into the US car industry, butstill it has been seen that there are only few outside car companies in US from outside. It isrequired for the outside car companies to set the manufacturing facilities in US, as themanufacturing of combustion car engine is a complex process. Thus, it is not easy for the carcompanies to bring all parts of engine from outside at the time of recessions. This is one reason.Another major reason is the lack of large-scale production units in US as large-scale productionassists the companies to get cost benefits. These two aspects can be considered as the major entrybarriers in the US car industry. In order to overcome this situation, it is essential for the outsidecar companies to establish large-scale car manufacturing facilities in US. With the help of this, the car companies will be able to manufacture more units of cars and they will get major costbenefits.
