Abstract
This research discusses two sections where first section demonstrates the research proposal
while second section is report. This report supports to gain understanding about the impact of
employee turnover on the organization performance. The literature review section presents
different factors that could be caused of employee turnover in the working place like such as
pay level, working atmosphere, the relationship between the top and bottom management. In
this, it also discusses many strategies for decline the employee turnover like compensation
policy, reward, and recognition, encourage gratitude, and flexible atmospheres. As a result,
company will be able to improve their existing situation. This report also discusses research
methodology wherein it considers different methods like research philosophy, research
strategy, data collection method, sampling, and data analysis method. The collected data is
examined by statistical tool in which it considered column chart, bar chart, and pie chart. In
last, it represents conclusion section that supports to understand the whole research in precise
form.

The main aim of this research is to measure the strategies to decline employee turnover from
Amazon and improve their performance. The following objectives will be used by researcher

Firstly, the researcher has addressed problems in the context of employee turnover in
Amazon (Silverman, 2016).

The employee turnover of Amazon is 566,000 that are higher as comparison to the other
organization. It is analysed the employee turnover demonstrates company’s inability to
ensure awareness continuity. The employee turnover could create many issues in the
organization like lower productivity, decreased exiting performance, higher stress level,

lower job satisfaction, unfulfilled daily activity, and higher cost. Hence, it can be said that
organization should focus on the employee turnover rate to enhance their productivity for
long-term. For critical analysis this issue, investigators have collected different opinion and
views of selected participants. It was quite expensive. In the stage second, researcher will
select research topic by considering motivation of this research (Dane and Brummel, 2014).
Afterward, research scholar will design the research aim and objectives to conduct their
research (Fu and Deshpande, 2014). The research topic is ‘to analyze the impact of employee
turnover on organization performance- A case of Amazon’. Hence, it can be said that the
whole research process is followed by the researcher to obtain a reliable outcome.

employee turnover is that organization invest limited amount of capital on their employees.
There are certain causes such as inappropriate training and development, reimbursement
planning, workflow, and lack of effective plan for accomplishment of aim and objectives as it
could gain the employee turnover in organization (Panneerselvam, 2014).

In support of this, DiPaola and Tschannen-Moran (2014) explained that employee turnover
means employee quit their job from existing organization and enter into the new places
because of any specific issue. It is also stated that turnover rate is determined by replacing the
resigned workforces with hiring a new employee (Neuman and Robson, 2014).
To analyze the factors that could impact on employee turnover in the case of Amazon
performance
In contrast to this, Zopiatis et al. (2014) explained that employee turnover generally occurs
by despondency of the workforce from working environment. Being hapless could not be
actual reason of employee turnover. It is also stated that if skill of workforce is matched with
the demand of other organization then they could pay higher to employee as it could also
enhance the employee turnover. Hence, the organization is needed to identify employee who
wants to leave their job because they are not satisfied with their growth (Gast et al. 2014). In
addition, it is also explained that there are different factors that could decline employee
turnover such as stability of firm, compensation level, working situation, industry, job
satisfaction level, and supervision of training (Hameed et al. 2014).

According to Kang et al. (2015), there are many strategies that should be used by Amazon to
decline employee turnover and improve the performance of Amazon like appropriate
compensation, training, and development method. Others strategies are recognize and reward
an employee, and encourage gratitude and generosity. It is also stated that organization
should use performance appraisal method by which they could evaluate the performance of
their employee and provide the appropriate remuneration as per their performance. It will
help the organization to retain employee and improve their performance (Smith, 2015).
Moreover, the company should also imply training and development method for improving
the existing skills of employees as it would enhance interest of employee towards their work.

In this research study, researchers will use pragmatism philosophy due to collecting facts and
figures about research matter. This philosophy is a combination of two philosophies
interpretivism and positivism (Korschun, et al., 2014). Through interpretivism, the researcher
will be capable to collect theoretical data about research matter. Beside this, positivism

For this research, convenient research sampling method will be used by the researcher to

behalf of age, gender, experience, and income (Alagaraja and Shuck, 2015). The researcher
will select 40 employees of Amazon from a different region to conduct the research.

complete their research. From this, it is analyzed that data collection method takes more time

data is collected by considering different sources like publications, online sites, journal
articles, and books (Gerhart, and Fang, 2014).

In the research study, research evaluation is significant to determine the collected data and
get a favorable result. In the research study, there are certain techniques that could be
practiced by the investigator to examine the data such as qualitatively oriented method,
scientific experimental technique, and participant oriented technique (Caillier, 2014). In this,
it is examined that scientific experimental research tool could help the researcher in accepting
and rejecting research. There are different factors that are considered by the researcher like
observation, experience, and measurement. Consequently, the researcher will be capable to
design, test, and modify the hypothesis as it would help to eliminate biases from research
study (Ahammad, et al., 2016). In addition, it is also addressed that researcher has used
qualitative techniques as could be effective to get the opinion of selected research candidates
towards current research matter. The investigator has examined the whole process of research

could create the employee turnover in the organization like reimbursement planning,

who have agreed that employee turnover means employee quite their job from existing
organization and enter into new organization due to a specific issue. Whereas, only 7 out of
40 participants does not agree with this statement. In favor of this, Gupta and Shaw (2014)
explained that workforce quite their existing position form organization and enter into a new
place because of organizational issues called employee turnover.

participants who think that stability of firm is a key factor affecting the employee turnover: a

workforce skills could match with other organization demand then it could increase the

evaluated that training supervision could impact on the employee turnover. Moreover, the
organization could determine workforces that want to leave their job due to the organization
issues. It could be effective to retain them by solving their issues.

employee and appreciate the workforce who perform better in the working place. It will
positively motivate employees.

As per the above data analysis, it is addressed that there are different factors that could
increase the employee turnover in the organization like inappropriate training and
development, Workflow, Reimbursement planning, and lack of effective compensation policy
(Cording, et al., 2014). It will also influence the whole performance of the organization.

2014). Moreover, it is also addressed that organization could use different strategies to
eliminate the employee turnover form the organization such as training and development

The suggestions are made for improving the employee turnovers as it could improve the

On behalf of above analysis, it can also be recommended that top management of Amazon
could need to gain their understanding of employee turnover as it could direct impact on the
performance of organization. Furthermore, organization should understand the problem of
employee as it could lead to gain the satisfaction level of employees. The organization should
also evaluate the performance of an employee on a quarterly basis as it could positively
motivate employee to obtain their research objectives (Taylor, et al., 2015).

To analyze the factors that could impact on employee turnover in the case of Amazon
With respect of above discussion, it can be suggested that organization should improve the
skills of employees for gaining their interest towards the allocated task. It would direct
impact on the performance of organization. The training and development method could also
be supportive to improve the behavior of an employee at the working-place. Consequently,

Furthermore, the organization should also develop a compensation strategy that matches with

employee turnover and improve the performance of Amazon.

To investigate strategies that could lessen the employee turnover from Amazon.
As per the above analysis, it can be interpreted that organization should consider different
strategies for lessening employee turnover form the organization such as appropriate
compensation, training, and development method, and recognize and reward an employee,
and encourage gratitude and generosity (Lewis, 2015). In addition, it can also be suggested
that organization should encourage gratitude and generosity as it could improve satisfaction
level of employees. Consequently, organization will be capable to retain the employees for
long-term. In this, organization should also recognize the employee who performs better in
the working place and rewards them as it could positively motivate the employee for

Conclusion
As per the above analysis, it can be summarized that research description is significant to
solve the research issue in an appropriate manner. The specification could be formulated by
the investigator as it would be imperative for attaining the research objectives. In this, it is

This report supports to increase my knowledge towards human resource management skills.
It gained my knowledge towards the employee turnover effect on the organization
performance. I observed that there are different factors such as compensation, working
environment, skills of employees, and the relation between the top management and lower
management could increase the employee turnover from organization. Thus, I analyzed that
organization should use many strategies to lessen the employee turnover from the working
environment. These strategies are training and development, reward system, compensation
