INTRODUCTION Business environment is comprised of internal and external factors that has greaterinfluence on the organizational functions. Further it influence the stakeholders of the businessthat involves customers, employees etc. It also includes the external factors which can affect theorganizational operations that includes demand as well as supply and the regulations of the firm.Moreover the business environment is regarded as the great combination of the requirements ofthe business as well as the way in which organization complies with needs (Giudice, Kuenzeland Springbett, 2011). Each firm cannot be carried out in vacuum therefore there is hugesignificance of environment in which business operates.In the present study NHS as well as Wellington has been considered. National healthservice is considered as organization that offers public health services. The company hasemploys around 1.6 million people with the combined budget of £136.7 billion. The residents ofUK are not being charged for the most of the medical treatments. On the other hand Wellingtonhospital is private organization. It is the largest independent hospital within UK and it is a part ofHCA international hospital group. The hospital is renowned for its cardiac services,neurosurgery, liver, HPB medicine, orthopedics as well as other services. The present reportentails at understanding the several business functions and the way in which it is associated withthe objective and structure of the firm. In addition to this it involves difference and complexitiesin the two business. The report includes positive and negative influence of macro environmenton the operations of firm. Moreover it covers the internal and external analysis in order to makedetermination of the strength as well as weakness. This includesoffering quality services to the patients and improving the health outcomes in an effectivemanner. Moreover it is comprised of offering quality services to the patients and reducing the3
cost as well to a greater extent. In addition to this it has major strategic objective that is towardscomplying with the customer focused approach. Under this it is significant for the NHS toconquer higher goals as well as targets. Further it is significant to emphasize over the structureand organizational functions. Each business is divided into several number of departments. Thisis comprised of marketing, finance, production, technical as well as human resource management(Hamilton and Webster, 2015). Each department has equal contribution and has huge influenceon attaining the targets of the firm to a significant level. The function in the organization isdivided into several parts as per such the departments are allocated. The main reason of theassignment of the department is towards increasing the performance of the business and offerquality services to the patients. Such reflects that varied function of firm are interrelated andtherefore it acts as an aid in attaining the target of the firm in an effective way. The structure of the business reflects the process and work allocation that is provided toeach employee in the firm. As NHS is firm that offers health care services to the patientstherefore it needs to focus on the personalized approach so that sound relationship can be buildamong the patient and health care practitioners. It makes performance of the functions based onthe functional structure of the organization. It is working with combination of equal coordinationand supervision without any type of difference within the division of work among the employees(Lenza, Pill and Reichlin, 2010). Moreover the task are assigned to the lines of authorities thatcomes in the hierarchy of the organizational structure. Absence of suitable functioning even atsmallest personnel group in the firm can result in affecting the status of the business. Maslow hasproposed the tool which is being regarded as hierarchy of the needs. Such is being utilized witheffectiveness in order meet the goals of individuals. M2NHS is regarded as the firm that is offering health care services to the patients who aresuffering from certain health care problems. The business has the mission that has focus on theattaining the outcomes from the treatment in an appropriate way. The major mission of thebusiness is towards demonstrating that it desires towards becoming the leading health care firmand increases the experience of the patients to a significant level. It makes sure by the businessthat firm that its stakeholders have complete knowledge regarding the mission statement so thatorganization is able to achieve predetermined targets in an effective manner.
