INTRODUCTION Communication refers to the process of transferring information from one group or the person to another. It involves transmission of an information from sender to the receiver that in turn includes emotions, cultural situation and and even the location. Communication is stated as the most essential levers of the firm's management which needs to be implemented in forming the team and in achieving for a valuable performance. Effective communication within the work environmentiscountedaskeycomponentforattaininggrowingsuccessinthefuture. Furthermore, the study throws a deeper insights towards different methods of the communication andthe ways in which communication can be made as effective in the enterprise. Moreover, appropriate theories are been used for reflecting significance and role of the culture in the process of communication. Reviewing communication skills at workplace and types of communication As viewed byAnderson and et.al., (2015), communication referred as the practices of sharingideas, information, feelings, emotionsandthethoughtsbywayofspeech, writing, behaviour and signals. Specifically people communicates among each other in different forms that entirely depends on the message and in the context it is been sent. Choosing the communicationchannelandthestyleofcommunicationhasagreatinfluenceonthe communication. There are various types of measures through which communication is been made that includes non- verbal and the verbal communication. Communication in which the messageoraninformationisbeentransmittedinverbalmannerisstatedastheoral communication whereas communicating through writing is considered as written form of verbal communication.However,non-verbalcommunicationmeanssendingorreceivingthe information through gestures, postures, voice tone and facial expression. It seems to be all about body language of the speaker which helps the receiver in analysing the message in a way it is received. Ways in which communication could be made effective in the business enterprise Karanges, E. and et.al., (2015),reviewed that for achieving an effective communication in workplace, there are various measures which could be used by company for enhancing their communication process in the organization effectively and efficiently. By conducting an open meeting with the employees it helps the company in communicating the passion and showing the way it feels towards their teams. It is counted as the best approach in communicating with the
team in an effective way. In the official settings, communication by way of emails is counted as suitable that enables the company in passing the information to the team members without calling them out from their workstations (Bonaccio and et.al., 2016). By creating or developing a receptive atmosphere, effective communication could be made. Avoiding the tense environment at workplace because communicating in the tensed manner results in delivering the message ineffectively and it may not be understand in a well manner. Application of appropriate theories relating to communication Shannon and the weaver model referred as the communication model that facilitates framework in assessing the manner in which the message is been sent & received. This model is best known for their ability in explaining the way in which messages or information can be mixed up or misinterpreted within the process between sending or receiving a message (Martin and Nakayama,2015).For example- I employed this model at my workplace in which a specified steps are been followed that involves sender, encoder, channel, decoder and the receiver. In beginning of the model, sender sends the message in various ways that could be oral or written and through the use of music, body language etc. After the sender sends the message through the medium, encoder seems to be the machine which converts an idea into the signals which is been send to receiver. This model is designed for explaining the communication through computers or telephone that encodes the words of sender by using the codes such as radio waves, binary digits etc. After encoding, channel of the communication comes into purview which is an infrastructure that gets an information from sender through the decoder to a receiver. For instance- In my company, an individual sends emails by using internet as the medium in terms of channel. Noise is stated as the unusual voice that come due to internal and the external channels. For example- crackling of the poorly tuned radio, interruption in broadcast of television, failure of internet connection etc. Shannon and the weaver had introduced this model in context of the communication that is been made through the electronic devices that is emails and television. Decoding helps in converting the binary digits into the format that is understandable by a receiver. After the decoding is done, the receiver finally gets message in the same way that is been communicated by the sender (Hall, 2016). Lastly in this model feedback occurs where receiver responds to the message or information that is been sent by the sender.
