project milestone is required for meeting with the project objectives. The milestones are
project actions which are required to achieve to make progress towards project goals
(Kerzner 2017). The marketing manager is putting promotional materials together to meet
with aim of the project. The project milestones are achieved and the project goals are also
progressing. There is assessing of opportunities to be emerged and made possible adjustments
to the project plan. By completion of one by one project phases, the project milestones are
being achieved (Lock 2017). This task has always zero duration which can shows as

4PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Progress activities
In order to track the project progress, the project team members are required to create
an outline of the project. Each of the members in the team should provide input to set the
project goals. When considering how to measure progress of each project activities, it should
underestimate importance of the project planning. At the starting of the project work,
communication is required to run the project plan smoothly. When the workers are facing
challenges to meet with goals, then communication helps to implement project structures
(Harrison and Lock 2017). The project management plan as well as schedule is reviewed as
well as send to the senior manager for reviewing the progress of project activities.
Forecast the impact of changes to project schedule baseline
Before starting of the project execution as well as control tasks, the project schedule
baseline is defined as well as documented. After starting of project execution, the project
baseline is under the change control to evaluate possible changes as well as its impact on
project work. The forecasting of the project schedule is estimated from progress against
schedule baseline as well as it is computed time to estimate to complete (Kerzner 2018). It is
mainly expressed through using schedule variance as well as schedule performance index.
Any changes on the project schedule baseline provides impact on project progress as well as
cause project delays.
Identify the project schedule variance
The schedule variance is estimated by subtracting budgeted cost of work scheduled
(BCWS) from budgeted cost of work performed (BCWP). BCWS is measured as budget for
entire project plan while BCWP is measured as cost of actual work performed (Heagney
2016)
.
