ABSTRACT
Purpose
To enable students to demonstrate their in-depth knowledge of the principles
of modern quality assurance and advanced techniques of reliability
engineering and abilities to apply them to solve practical problems related to
quality and reliability
Methodology
Cross sectional research design is used in conduct the study. Data is
collected randomly from the company employees, technicians and the
management using the questionnaire method.
Findings;
Customers specification is greater than the normal distribution.Hence,the
company is capable of creating products that meet the customers’
specification.
There is more lag is the prior months of production. The market is more
volatile with production
Research Limitation
Quality production depends on technicians and statistical software used.
Quality depends on the customers’ satisfaction.

performance of an organization. They the indicators of growth of any firm.
Specific key performance indicators are used to realize an effective evidence
and decision-making.

Quality management is the act of controlling all activities and projects that
are required to meet the customers’ specification and expectation.
2.2.1.The Components of quality management
In order to achieve the goals and objective set for a standard production, the
following should be considered;
i)setup of quality policies.
ii)Creation and implementation of quality assurance and planning ,that is,
identification and making right decision based on relevant projects
iii)Methods of quality control to uphold integrity and reliability for an
effective result.
iv)Modes of quality improvement.
2.2.2.0.The Principles of Quality Management
For quality management to be effective, there must be a set standard of
regulations and guideline to spearhead the operation towards improving
performance.

Customers’ expectations are should be the central focus of quality management.
The quality management team should strive and work to exceed their
expectations.

Quality management ensures that people at all levels are involved and respected.
Each member plays a role to create and deliver value.

Quality management ensures that the processes that interrelate and the coherent
functions are properly understood and managed.

Quality management‘s aim is a focus on improvement to ensure that the current
level of performance is maintained and environmental interaction exist for new
opportunities.

Quality management ensures that right decisions are made in accordance to the
available data and information.

Quality Assurance Plan
Quality assurance plan is a set of written activities that ensure that
customers are satisfied with the goods and services a company produce. The
new quality assurance specialist would employ and implement the following
in the company to improve improve our customers satisfaction;
a)Definition of quality objectives
Ensure that the objectives are defined for each project to identify the
customers’ requirements and satisfaction. In addition, the level of quality of
the company products must be defined to realize our customers’
expectations. For future reference, the set objectives must be well written
and specific.
b)Definition of Roles and Responsibilities
Definition of roles and responsibilities of team members and itemizing the
responsibilities of each role is key management practice. Those assigned to

the roles should fully understand the meaning of each responsibility assigned
to them.
c)Coordinate With other Plans
It is important to work at the same level as those working in other
departments to avoid contradictions. For instance, risk management plans,
resource management plans. By maintaining a reliable communication with
people and manager in the department, there shall be an effective flow.
d)Define Task and Schedule
Each and every task should relate directly to the quality objectives. It is
convenient to begin setting the schedule from the deadline in or from the
start date out.

Capability index is also known as the process capability ratio. This is a
statistical measure of process capability i.e the ability of a process to
manufacture results within specified time frame. The idea of the process
capability ascertains the meaning for processes that are in a condition of
statistical control. Process capability indices help to evaluate variation of a
process experiences relative to its specification boundary. Different
processes are to be compared with respect to how best a company can
control them.
