Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
PDP helps a person in their career growth. It also helps in gaining of skills and
knowledge. The main concept is to improve those skill that a person lacks in
particular profession. Thus, the plan is continuous improvement in skills, knowledge,

experience, etc. basically, main purpose is to cope with future skills in order to
achieve goals.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals

The short term goals give an outline on how to attain milestone in career. It is having
a great value in PDP. The milestone is useful in achieving long goals. Besides, short
goals state how far is there to attain final goals. The long goals are sub divided into
small goals. The 3 examples are
Enhance time management skills
Maintain discipline
Improve interpersonal skills

The medium term goals act as interlink between short and long term. They are also
milestone and is useful in accomplishing long goals. Besides, it boosts individual
confidence and morale to accomplish long goals.

The value of long term goals is to fulfil person dreams. The person remains
encouraged and work hard to fulfil dreams. Besides that, goals help in keeping on
