Concept of personal and professional development
Personal and professional development can be described as an activity in
which an individual involve with the purpose of improving their skills and knowledge
so as to achieve career goals. It assists an individual to build own strengths and
eliminate weaknesses by indulging in development programs.
Value of short term goals with 3 personal examples
Short term goals is defined as a bridge that reduces the gap or duration to achieve
long term goals. In other words, it can be termed as a goals which are required to
achieve within a period of 1 year.
Examples: -
To schedule a 15-minute meeting every morning with the staff.
To search a trainer or a coach to learn a tactics of any sports game.
To make a 100 call between 9am to 6:30pm.
Value of medium term goals with 3 personal examples
Medium term goals can be termed as one which takes a bit longer. It bridges the gap
between daily activities and long term vision that an individual set for its own
development. Such goal must be achieved within the period of 1-3 years.
Examples: -
To get a graduation degree from a reputed college.
To buy a house.
To conduct a quality survey to every customer within 30 days of their first
contact.
Value of long term goals with 3 personal examples
Long term goals is one which an individual to achieve something in future that
requires more time and proper planning. It is something which couldn’t achieve
within a week or a year as it needed a time period of 3 to 10 years.
Examples: -
To become a leader or manager in reputed organisation
To start and run own business more successfully.
To get expertise in verbal communication.

Value of Personal Development Plan with example
Personal development plan is a procedure of improving skills in which an
individual is currently lacking by framing actions and implementing corrective
measures. In this context, it can be said that personal development plan assist an
individual to strong their personality by improving their skills so that career goals can
be achieved within limited time period.
