INTRODUCTION
Personal development is about increasing skills, capabilities for getting success in an
efficient manner. The report comprises personal & professional development along with goals of
different time frames. Apart from this, authenticity of sources has also been tested in assignment
by applying CRAAP test.
TASK 1
Personal & professional development
Personal development is about enhancing own capabilities, proficiency so that one can
attain higher growth & enrichment in career. Professional development signifies development of
professional capabilities via training & learning sessions for attainment of set business goals
within stipulated period of time (Canfield, 2018).
Short term objectives & examples
These goals are formulated for days, weeks or months. Short term objectives are major source of
motivation which also helps an individual in improving performance for further betterment.
 To develop communication skills for interacting with others in an impressive way.
 To improve my writing skills to score good in exams.
 To manage time effectively by preparing appropriate schedule.
Medium term objective & examples
These goals are the bridge between long term & short term goals. Without preparing, these
goals, it is not possible for a person to embark on a successful long term journey. It is required to
prepare suitable medium term goals with due consideration (Cottrell, S., 2019). Medium term
objectives help in developing suitable skills to get enrichment in professional career.
 To develop presentation skills so that I can deliver effective presentations without any
hesitation.
 To study hard for getting a degree with distinction.
 To develop problem solving skills for coping up with different issues which might arise
in future period of time

Long term objectives & examples
Long term goals are prepared for the time period of more than 1 year. There is requirement to
embark significant efforts for realizing long term goals. These goals provide direction to alien
efforts in right direction. In addition to this, long term objectives are major source of motivation
& encouragement (Dyer and Dyer, 2017).

Personal development plan
It comprises goals, strategies as well as resources for accomplishment of those goals in an
efficient manner. For this purpose, it is imperative to carry out personal analysis & then prepare
suitable strategies accordingly (Hill, 2020). Personal development plan helps in identifying areas
of improvement & then embark best practices to make necessary improvement in performance

purpose, data is gathered through books, websites, journals & more. But, there is requirement to
check the authenticity & reliability of various sources which are used for the purpose of
information gathering.
 Author: Author is the person who creates the information which own knowledge &
capabilities.

 Reliability: It is required to have reliability in data & information. It shows the
authenticity of source.
 Purpose: It depicts the reason for which information has been written. Different reports
are written for different purpose.
 Relevance: During use of information, it is also required to check relevancy as it brings
quality in research.
