Introduction:
The resource manager of the Parcel Post Company has been planning to provide more
visibility to the clients as per as the position of the clients. Currently, the parcels ate getting sorted
automatically at the depot and placed in the containers loaded onto the trucks. These containers are
tagged with the RFID Tags.
The following report defines the project scopes and establishes the project priorities. It has
developed the Work Breakdown Structure and the Risk Breakdown Structures. Then the identified
risks are prioritized. Lastly, a proper risk treatment is proposed.
The project scope:
The various scopes are discussed in this section. The main objectives are to integrate the
RFID technology at the distribution and the storage network for achieving the product storage and
handling systematically. The maximizing the data accuracy of the movement of the product and
decreasing the relevant management risks are to be determined. Lastly, the project intends t achieve
the real-time monitoring of the distribution and the excellent control of the quality of the product
under the distribution network.
The RFID tag must be attached to the case and not on every item. The products should raise
the expense highly without any bringing of any simple financial impact. The domestic consumers
would not get any advantages since the tag would never help every one of them. The embedded
RFID tag in the packaging of the product could never be recollected in order to recycle. Moreover,
the ROI or the return of Investment has been very low.

The first phase must include the RFID business analysis. Then there should be the technical
assessment and pilot. Then there must be the integration analysis and alt last there are the delivery
and the promotion phases.

Project priorities:
It has been an inevitable fact that the best plans laid by RFID projects have been seldom

The company should effectively design the process of business flows. It has the properties of various
distinct from the presently used labels of barcodes. However, the company has been not must aware
of the technology and the advantages that could contribute to the business management and process.
Moreover, the RFID tag price has been much higher than the barcode labels. The report has
effectively evaluated the project scopes and the risks at various sectors like technical, organizational
and external. Lastly, it has evaluated the various ways to mitigate those potential risks.
