INTRODUCTION
In a curriculum there are many activity and learning included in it for student. The activity
enable student to gain physical skills as well. So, sports and athletics day needs to be included
within curriculum as well (Adamcák, Nemec and Bartík, 2017). It helps in maintaining student
fitness and physical health. However, sports activity needs to be included as per needs of
children. here, for primary and secondary sports differs in it. Thus, learning experience also
differ as it depends on their calibre and ability. It is necessary to include sports day apart from
lecture and session.
The report will lay emphasis on benefits of sports and athletics day in primary school.
Besides that it will be described about how the day will include all students and timetable will
be prepared. Moreover, safety and behaviour of student will be explained as well.

This is regarding a proposal of organising sports and athletics day in school. In my
view there are many benefits of doing it. i think that basically, in curriculum there are only
lectures and teaching sessions included. This only helps in increasing the learning and skills of
them. So, sports is viewed as way to keep students fit and healthy. Academics is related to
ability of brain to process and store info. Thus, conducting sports and athletics day will provide
many benefits to primary students.
Health : it is first benefit of sports where students will be able to exercise. So, it will lead to
movement of bones, muscles, etc. which will make them strong and healthy. Also, it will
involve in movement of various parts of body (Akiyama,, 2020 ). For example- moving muscle

will burn calories and reduces obesity. Moreover, performance of heart will improve. The
glucose will convert into energy and in this way sugar level will be balanced. Thus there will be
physical benefit of sports..
Building self confidence- the sports day will enable students to build self confidence among
them. Here, by getting encouragement from teacher, friends etc. student will feel motivated and
they will do well in other activities. So, in this way their confidence will be boosted and build
up.
Team work- student will play sports in team so they will other people as well. therefore, by
collaborating they will gain skills of working in team. Besides that, sports day will enable in
improving their knowledge and working together to attain common goals
Discipline- this is a key benefit of sports as student will learn to obey and follow different rules
and regulations (Crawford, 2019). It increases their knowledge about various rules to be
followed by them. Furthermore, they will learn time management skills from it as well. it will
enable in working as per schedule and reaching goals effectively.
Reduce stress- organizing sports and athletics day is best way to reduce stress. The mind of
students will get refresh from it and leads to better thinking ability. In addition their
concentration level increases and they can focus in class in effective way.
Social skills - Sports brings people together. When playing with other students, they get a
chance to interact with new people. Sports give students a chance to communicate and learn from
other people. It helps build a sense of belonging. These social and communication skills
enhances and help a student in future career and relationships.
So, if I will be highly obliged of you allow to organize sports day for 1 day in school so
that it is beneficial for children. Also, 8 students having characteristics can also participate in it.

How sports and athletics day will be inclusive to all students
As a teacher it is necessary to ensure that sports and athletics day is inclusive to all
students. here, 1 student with autism disorder can also participate. This means that all of them are
able to participate in it equally (Lindsey, Metcalfe, and Armstrong, 2020). Besides that it must
not be like that it is difficult for some students to participate in it. However, there will be
different types of activities organised on that day. Similarly, all teacher can also participate in it
along with students. it has been evaluated on that day activities will be categorised into two that
is for mental and physical health. So, accordingly type of sports will be decided and students
are allowed to participate in it. It will also ensure that athletics day include all students and
their physical health is improved.
Sports is an activity that allows enables all students to engage with one another. Generally, it can
be played either individually or in team. So, when it is played individual then all students are
given chance to take part in it. However, here it is analysed that those who are physically
disabled like in primary school autism spectrum disorder, abdominal surgery, etc. then in this
case special sports activity will be organised that is indoor games. In those activity there will
be no such thing included that involve any physical movement. So, 1 student recovering from
abdominal surgery, 1 student who is on wheelchair and can use both arms can participate in it.
Thus, the activity will be entirely based on use of brain in it (McCarthy, Nathan, and
Wolfenden, 2019). Apart from it, for other students as well indoor sports activity will be
organised that allows them to participate with physically disabled ones. Here, activity like chess,
puzzle, etc will be done which require ability to think and process information. They will be
involved in some outdoor sports as well but only as audience. In order to make day inclusive for
all students there will be organise some sports in which teacher can participate along with
physically disabled students. For that with proper planning that activity will be conducted. This
will provide a platform for those student to participate in it.
Along with it, in athletics day there will be involve some exercise in which 1 student having
down syndrome with moderate vision impairment, 1 student with hearing and 1 student with
vision loss can participate in it. There will be some games played as well in it. So, for physically
disabled ones exercise and activity will be organised. However, most games will be outdoor ones

as there are majority number of students who are fit (Peral-Suárez,, Cuadrado-Soto, and Ortega,
2020). In this way for physical fitness sports games like football, cricket and many other are
organised. Furthermore, for student suffering from asthma, hearing loss, vision loss etc. special
activity will be done. This will allow all student to participate in it as well. Alongside, here
student parent can engage in playing that game.
Moreover, it will be ensured that no activity include such thing where it require high
energy level and instruments to be used in it. Besides that, parents will also be allowed to
participate in sports day and for that some other exercise and activities will be developed. Thus,
through it there will be interaction of parents with students in it. Therefore, in this way entire
sports day will include all types of students in it.
Hence, by organising various sports and athletics activities for different students it will enable
them to participate. All students can participate in that and for those 8 student who have having
characteristics which impact on their ability to participate some special activity will be
conducted. Besides that, parents and teacher will be allowed to participate with those 8
students. in this way entire day will be inclusive in it (Scheuer, 2020)

Discussion on safety of care and behavior management
In organising or sports and athletics day for primary school students of year 1 to 5 it is
necessary to ensure safety of them. For that there needs to be taken several considerations as
well. Also, it is important to analyse behaviour of those students in it. Hence, certain
consideration needs to be involved in it. With that it becomes easy to conduct sports day
properly.
Here, first of all in safety of students it will be ensured that footfall field is safe for them
or not. Thus, inspection will be taken of it and proper arrangements will be made. Other than
this, there will be proper health and safety measures taken in it such as first aid kit, fire
extinguisher, and many others. In addition to that, proper guidelines will be formed regarding
health and safety of students (Lindsey, Metcalfe, and Armstrong, 2020). The teacher has to
follow that on sports day. There will be a risk assessment carried out in order to identify risk
which can occur during sports and according safety measures are taken to minimize impact on
risk. So, this will also be considered in it. besides that, another safety consideration is that it will
be ensured that no sharp instruments are used in doing of various activities which can cause harm
to students. All the material and instruments used will be firstly checked and then its safety will
be measured. However, to prevent any virus infection due to use of material by student the
material will be cleaned and sanitized. Here, another safety consideration is medical check up of
those 8 students will be done to ensure that they are fit to be presented on sports and athletics
day. Also, before each activity those student safety will be monitored and ensured along with all
other students. If there occurs any emergency related to safety then relevant measures will be
taken in it (McCarthy, Nathan,. and Wolfenden, 2019)
Now, for behavioral management it is evaluated that any change in it may impact on
student safety. They might do involve in such things which leads to putting danger to their

safety. Thus, here as well certain consideration is taken in it. first is that a plan will be developed
in which there are some criteria involved on basis of which behavior is analysed. Alongside,
during each activity behavior of student is evaluated. If it is found that any one becomes
aggressive or try to harm other than it will be prevented by talking to them and understanding
problem. Moreover, if student is found to hurt or harm other than it will be prevented by
taking proper action. Usually, focus will be on those 8 students so that their safety is ensured.
Also, if it is found any change in behavior of student that teacher or parent will be informed
about it and then it will be managed. There will be a behavior theory followed in it to find out
how student communicate with teacher and others. It will be easy to analyses behavior of
student during playing sports activities (Sprengeler, Buck, and Ahrens, , 2019)
Hence, by integrating these both considerations it will be ensured that student safety and
care is maintained. This will enable in organizing of sports day in effective way and also
leading to attaining of outcomes. However, duty of care will be monitored as well. the teacher
involved in it will be assigned some roles as well so on basis of that safety of student is ensured.
There has to be things required in it to considered in behavior management.
CONCLUSION
Hereby, it is summarized that sports and athletics day needs to be included within
curriculum as well. It helps in maintaining student fitness and physical health. As academics is
related to ability of brain to process and store info. So, conducting sports and athletics day will
provide many benefits to primary students such as discipline, team work, social skills, health
etc. for making it inclusive to all student various activity is organized and teachers are allowed
to participate in it. there are total 6 activities done in school on that day that are chess, tin can
ally, balancing ball, etc. each one focus on different fundamental movement skill such as
throwing, balancing, collecting etc. however, safety needs to be considered in it as well.
