2AMERICAN HISTORYAnswer to question 1According to certain assumptions that have been outlined by the report on public credit, the steps taken by Hamilton would have made the federal government more powerful. A nationalbank, according to the report had a foundation based on the elastic clause. Jefferson and Madisonbelieved that the Constitution does not permit the Congress to set up a national bank and theybelieved it to be a perversion of the constitution itself. Jefferson and Madison desired to keep thewealth of America to stay in the farmlands and agriculture. Hamilton’s plan of diversifying themanufacturing unit and make an improvement in the economic structure made them feeldistorted (Schwarz 2017). They thought that Hamilton was in his way to have complete controlover the government through the activities he is undertaking and that was the reason why theyopposed Hamilton.Answer to question 2The Americans declared a war against Great Britain due to the issues faced by them. Theconcerns that led the Americans to rage a war against the British were the economic blockade ofBritish of France, the induction of a number of neutral American seamen in the British navalforces against their will and the support that the British derived from the hostile Indian tribes. Many federalists believed that the war was raged in order to support Napoleon in his struggleagainst the British. The outcome of the war was still unknown as those who walked out of thewar was happy from their own p[perspectives and therefore it is hard to determine if theAmericans were successful in achieving the goal for which they fought the war.
