INTRODUCTION Global citizenship is an idea that is loosely defined as recognizing the interconnectedness of life, respecting the diversities in cultures around the globe. The present report is going to discuss about the global citizenship, the purpose of conducting business, the impact of artificial intelligence on humanity in the future and the laws relating to abortion, death penalty and assisted dying. MAIN BODY Explaining the idea of global citizenship The global citizenship concept can be referred as a thought that says that each person has civil rights and responsibilities which comes from being a member of the globe. In simpler words, the terms refers to the idea that proposes responsibility of an individual towards global issues. This concept promotes humanity at the global level by advocating for the social justice, empathising with the people suffering from different issues, respecting religion and cultures of different nations (Dower and Williams, 2016). The idea of global citizenship is important because it allows people to access the global opportunities that world provides along with the responsibilities it imposes for being a citizen of world.Theopportunitiesareintheformofconductingbusinessworldwidebecauseof globalisation, opportunities of making careers in foreign countries for the young people etc. Another reason why it is crucial is it's the purpose of promoting humanity at the global by making people empathise towards global issues such as poverty, life threatening diseases, mental illness, etc. The concept also encourages peace around the world by suggesting people that each individual needs to respect other's religion and culture. However, there are arguments against this concept such as people believe that there is no such thing as globalcitizenship. Inreality, nationsandnationalcitizenship comesfirst. Globalisation, an aspect of global citizenship has affected the world in negative ways such as unhealthy competition amongst the nations in respect of trade & business, rapid depletion of world's scarce resources etc. The other challenge that comes up is financial resources for solving the global issues like food & hunger, inequalities, environment sustainability (Tan, 2017).
What is the purpose of business ? Business can be defined as a commercial activity by which a person earns its living. This commercial activity includes person's regular occupation, profession, trading of goods and services etc. Thepurpose of businessfor entrepreneurs is to earn profits and make their lifestyles better. People work for earning money by which they could afford the basic necessity of life. But intherecenttimes, thepurposeofconductingbusinesshasshiftedfromsolelyprofit maximizationtowellbeingofsocietyaswhole(DyllickandMuff,2016).Themodern organisation needs to shift their focus on social welfare instead of maximizing returns because it will help the firms in focusing on global warming concerns which is leading major damage to climatic condition and natural calamities. Social enterprisesundertake commercial activities for the purpose of improving and enhancing the environmental and social well-being. These organizations conduct business operations for fulfilling the social causes for which it has been formed, it supports communities and focuses on improving the lives of the people that are somehow connected to them.Managing support to people in need will helps in gaining attention of government, volunteers and society which is effective for growth and aim of the firm which is not profit making but managing welfare of society. Corporate Social Responsibilityis now of the most significant aspect of business organizations by which they try to fulfil the requirements of society from the profits these firms make by utilising society's resources. The aim of CSR is to guide the companies to conducts its operations in the most ethical manner. This ethical manner involves avoiding exploitation of human capital, leaving minimum carbon footprint on the environment and its sustainability, serving the society with supreme quality of goods and services and to work in partnership with local people for enhancing the living standards of the local people (Basu, 2017).CSR framework within modern organisation will be beneficial for the modern organisation in gaining attention of millennials which is effective of innovation management and growth of organisation. Influence of Artificial Intelligence in the future? The impact of AI driven technologies are largely impacting the daily life of human race. Some of the examples are smartphones in which users interacts with AI such as Google assistant, Siri, Alexa etc. Smart cars is the perfect example of explaining AI. These electronic cars does not need human to run it on roads only because of the AI software and applications that would understand and react to the situations in the same manner like humans (Makridakis, 2017). There are positive impacts of AI that is making quality of human lives better and is expected to do so in the future. The AI when coded properly performs the human like activities more quickly and accurately with low error rate. The robots created with AI applications would not be affected by the dynamic and hostile environments. They would be able to preform tasks that are risks to lives of humans. However, the increased application of AI in the current times and in the future is going to harm the human race and humanity. The very first and significant negative impact of AI is that it is becoming the major reason for unemployment for the humans. AI devises and technologies are ruling out the need of humans to perform tasks in the companies such as automated call teller rules out the requirement of a natural person to interact with customers. This will lead to poverty due to unemployment, making lives of human miserable in the future (Cockburn, Henderson and Stern, 2018). Thus, the technology have to created and mixed up human factor in such a manner that raises the quality of people on earth rather than becoming a threat to human existence. Laws relating to abortion, death penalty and assisted dying Laws are the set of rules for creating a framework within which activities in a country has to be performed by each citizens. Each country have different laws due to their ancient customs and cultures. For example, Abortion is legal in certain circumstance in UK under the Abortion Act 1967. The abortion is permitted during the first 24 weeks of conceiving the child. Similarly, US and India provides the legal framework for the abortion issue in their respective country. The issue has been legalised in the recent times for various reasons such as unwanted child, social stigma of having child before marriage in the countries like India that have regressive culture (ESHRE Capri Workshop Group, 2017).
Death penalty laws in the UK has been abolished after 1998 under Human Rights Act and Crime and Disorder Act. While Mid eastern countries has strict death penalties for the prescribed crimes. This is because of the difference in approach and culture between the nations. Arab countries have zero tolerance for any type of crime in the country. In fact, the death penalty is executed with in few days of the judgement. The another reason could be political history such parliamentary nature in country involves long hearings and legal procedure for death penalty related crimes, while in countries like South Arab which is run by a monarch who gives instant judgement for the crime without any hearing sessions (Davies, 2017.). Assisted dying refers to the suicide that is assisted by other person, generally with the help of a physician or healthcare provider. It is illegal in UK. In US, only 8 states have legalised the assisted dying. CONCLUSION From the above project report, it can be concluded that global citizenship is a good concept for making world a better place where humanity exist. The study also summarized that business houses are focusing on fulfilling society's requirement rather than filling only their pockets. Increased use of AI will have negative impact on humans as these technologies are eliminating the need of human which is creating unemployment that will ultimately lead to poverty and low living standards. Lastly, laws in the different countries varies from one another due to its culture, beliefs and ancient customs.
