1ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIC RESPONSE TO THE ACAAssessment 1: Organizational Strategic Response to the ACATHE PATIENT PROTECTION ACT (PPACA) can be referred to as the federal healthcare reform is a far reaching legislature that will alter how millions of people access thehealthcare (Majette, 2011). The scope of this act is so broad that it will take many years tounderstand the ramifications. The United State healthcare system spends more capita of incomeon the healthcare services than any other countries in the world, but lags behind in providingenough patient care and lags behind many countries regarding life expectancy and infantmorbidity. Therefore it is necessary to introduce reforms in to the health care systems. The roleof the administrator of an HSO is to introduce various policies and steps in the administration inorder to impart improved quality of care. The PPCA impact will be able to reach far beyond thehealth programs and should include the following- The access to the health care service would gradually increase with the gradual expansion of thehealth care coverage to the new population. Therefore more work forces are required. The twopolicies that are recommended are-Regulation of the health insurance- Application of new sets of health insurance mayposse pressure on the Department of insurance, therefore the legislature needs to becarefully considered such that the insurance models can be aligned with the newguidelines of the PPACA (Majette, 2011). The standard packages of the benefits shouldbe reorganized. The policies that can be taken up are the health insurance coveragereforms and the delivery system reforms.
