There exist antithetic activities that assists in improving self awareness, identify,
competencies, calibre and talents (McGrath, 2014). These actions are all covered under personal
development. It plays a very crucial role in facilitating employability and improving quality of
life. This betterment takes course over the entire life span of an individual. However, it should be
recognised that the activities planned for the personal development are not restricted to gain self-
benefits only. For instance: Improving leadership skills will help the team-mates. Further, the
role played by this development builds self-esteem which moreover assist in gaining the career
goals, lifestyle enhancement, motivation, etc. (Beausaert and et. al., 2013). As stated by
Nahavandi, (2016), personality development is life long process involving three major steps,
which are assessing skills and abilities of self, considering aims to attain and setting goals to
achieve them. There exist certain core skills which are entailed to develop in order to assure
effective development of individual's personality (Success, 2017). This report covers the major
competencies that should be possessed. The undertaking work is a reflective piece stating my
own desired skills to develop personality. Importance of developing these skills will also be
mentioned in the paper. Further, key areas for development will be identified in this report.

Teamwork plays a significant role in achieving success of a company. An organisation is made
up of different department that integrates together top achieve the desired goals and objectives.
Further, in order to assure effectiveness in work it is highly necessary for team members and
leaders to have team working skills (Cottrell, 2015.)I will need these competencies for work
segregation, assigning work as per qualifications, maintaining effective relations with each
team member, etc.

It has been observed while assessing my team working skills using Belbin Team model that out of nine
roles, I need to pay attention on development of three functions. These lacking factors are monitor
evaluation, co-ordinator and resource investigating (Hardingham, 2017) . However, after applying
Johari's Window on the outcomes obtained from feedback from peers and colleagues it has been
observed that there are some skills which actually present in me but are not known such as specialist,
plan and implementer ability. On the other hand, peers and I both believes that I need to pay attention
on the shaper role. It has been further observed that I start the work with a recommendable enthusiast
and nice idea, however I am not a strong finisher. I need to work on polishing and scrutinisation of
work. This is necessary to improve quality of the undertaken task. It has been further recorded that I am
a good leader as I manage my team members very effectively. I engage all associates in decision-
making procedure. This not only assists in raising the motivation level of them but also help me in
getting a variety of options that can be used to carry out work.
I have assessed that I need to work on some areas which my colleagues think that I already
posses. For instance: I mentioned that I am not a strong finisher, however my team members
has stated that I perform quality work and that too with minimum errors. In addition to this, it
has been observed that I manage them effectively and they all are happy with my leadership
skills.
The team-working skill is highly necessary to develop for the future use. This ability will allow
me to work effectively in companies with different team members. The task segregation,
monitoring skills, etc. will assist me in proving a better leader. In addition to this, in order to
