Report On Ways To Increase Maximize Cotton Yield & Quality_2
INTRODUCTION Cotton is one of the most valuable crop. It is soft fiber that grown around the cottonplant. It mainly used textile industry. The present report is based on the Ways to increasemaximize cotton yield and quality (Asiimwe, Naranjo and Ellsworth, 2014). For improvingquality row and plant spacing approach has been used. It is method in which distances on seedsand their outlets has used. The present report make analyze on the row and plant spacingmethods and on Irrigation of cotton. Along with these it also make analyze on the Drylnad cottonand their row configuration method.WAYS TO INCREASE MAXIMIZE COTTON YIELD AND QUALITY Cotton is soft fiber that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant. The fiber is most often spun into thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile. It is very valuable crop in theagricultural industry. Although the cotton plant is native to tropical countries, cotton productionis not limited to the tropics (Bhaduri and Djanibekov, 2015) With the help of the new technologyand expansion osf the cultivation techniques assists to cotton to improve their quality and yield.Today cotton is produced in many parts of the world which includes Europe, Asia. Africa andAustralia. Quality and yield of cotton is based on the several areas such as their row spacing, irrigation management and nature of soil. All these factors helps to maintain and increasesquality of cotton. One of the method to improves the quality and yield of cotton is to improve isrow and plant spacing (Bishnoi, Sisodia and Ranawat, 2016)Row and plant spacingStriving to produce a top-yielding cotton crop begins with management planning.Row spacing is the distance from the centers of on seeds tube outlet to the center of the nextoutlet. Row spacing is related to nutrient placement, weed competition and sunlight. The idealspacing between rows for plant is between 18 to 36. Row spacing is important to maximize plantyield (Burkitbayeva, Qaim and Swinnen, 2016). The row spacing helps to plant to grow andimproves their quality. Determine the row width and planting population that is the best fit forimprove the cotton production and helps to improve their potential within a field. 3

There are different types of techniques are available for the row and plant spacing.Mainly there are two types of spacing one is single and another double row spacing (Knisley,2016). Cotton is typically planted in wider 38- or 40-inch rows; however, narrower row spacingmay provide yield benefits under ideal growing conditions. The row and plant spacing is alsodepended on three elements which are as follows. Development and growth of cottonStructure of cotton is very complex. It's in determinate growth habit often makes itdifficult to analyze, due to its four dimensional development in space and time (Dai and Dong,2014). Yield of plant is based on the two different area which is development and growth. These two element is also fruitful for the plant and improve their production capacity. Followingare the stage of plant growth and development in cotton. Germination and emergenceGermination and Emergence is the process in which seeds has produced a mm radical.Internal moisture of seeds absorb water from the soil. For this process ideal temperature is 14C.The cultivation activities do not take place below this temperature. In this process adequate soilsmoisture is most simply defined as not too dry and too wet (Pettigrew and Dowd, 2014). Forattempting the agricultural activities it is importunate that soil temperature should be idealwhich is 14 C. under this process seeds yield grown fast and also the quality of the plantimproved. At optimum temperatures seedlings emerged in 5 days.Seeding establishmentCotton has a strong primary taproot that can reach a depth of temperature 3 mm depending on soil type and the rate that can be vary between 9 and 90 mm day. In thisprocess the seed starts growing which is mainly depended on the quality of soil (Reba, Lewisand Teague, 2015). The primary root grows for the several days after germination. For theseeding establishment it is important that temperature of the soil is remained in between 28 Cand 35 C. temperature of soil is essential as it may effects root length and its density. Soil wateraffects the growth rate of roots and their distribution in the soil profile. At this stage the growthof seeds is very important as it helps to improve plant quality and their yield.leaf area and canopy development4
