Workforce diversity refers as the similarities and differences among workers in terms of
cultural, background, age, physical abilities and disabilities, gender, race, religion and sexual
orientation. In order to manage workforce diversity is important for an organisation. As it will
helps company in improvement of its success and growth. It is a biggest opportunity in
development of my career and growth. This topic helps me by increasing my experience in
context of workforce diversity and its impact on business as well as employees performance
(Rice, 2015).
I am glad that I obtained this chances to do investigation over such as broad topic i.e.
An investigation into Workforce diversity and its management in the workplace”. A study on
Walmart. This research assist me in improving my understanding regarding the workforce
diversity and its management. By doing this study I came to realize about the effect of workforce
diversity and importance of its management within an organisation. Apart from this, I learned
impact of workforce diversity on employees as well as an organisation performance (Dedotsi,
Young and Broadhurst, 2016). During the research, I also become capable to analysis role of
management towards an organisation as well as duties it have towards working environment.
Along with this, workforce diversity is interesting topic which helps me by improving my
different types of skills such as time management, team working, problem solving etc. With the
use of these skills I am able to perform each activities or tasks of study in systematic manner
(Valantine and Collins, 2015).
By doing investigation or research I become more able to increase my different types of
investigation skills including literature review, data analysis, data collection etc. In order to
achieve these qualities I have to get basic understanding about the tools and methods that are
applied by me for conducting investigation in effective way. For conducting this study, I
followed different chapters such as introduction, review of literature, research methods, data
analysis and interpretation, conclusion and recommendation. All these are important chapter
which helps in completion of investigation in accurate way. While development of aim and

objectives of study, I have different choice of selection of topic but I only selected investigation
over the interesting topic i.e. impact of workforce diversity and its management. This topic helps
me by providing information about the increment of diversity among workforce and its impact
on employees as well as organisational performance (Kazmi and Naaranoja, 2015). Along with
this, while doing of literature review section I faced different issues regarding collection of
information from previous study, identification of accurate response from authors etc. Depict of
all these, I become able to identify opinion of authors about the topic. As it will directly support
me by giving accurate information about the topic.
While conducting of investigation over the topic such as effect of workforce diversity and
its management, I required different methods which is research design, research approach,
research sampling, research philosophy, data collection methods, research choice etc. All these
are useful methods used by me while collection of accurate information or data about the
influence of workforce diversity and its management within the workplace of Walmart. Along
with this, for interpreting research outputs, I used SPSS software which is an effective part of
quantitative research. Variables are required to be converted from string to numeric variables
while performing SPSS such as compatibility issues of software and complicated algorithms
(Marina, 2015). These are main issue which I faced while doing of investigation in systematic
manner.
This software support me by analysing, Mean, Std. Error of Mean, Median, Mode, Std.
Deviation, Skewness, Std. Error of Skewness, Kurtosis and Std. Error of Kurtosis. All these are
consider essential parts of analysing accurate amount of information from the respondents. In
order to analysis reliability of the data, I used reliability test, Anova table etc. These test helped
me by giving information about the data reliability in percentage form (Cui, Jo, Na and
Velasquez, 2015)
Throughout current study or investigation I have encountered different issues including
amount of capital and accurate time are not appropriate, participants of these investigation are
not agreed to replay in effective way, few participants have provided inaccurate data or
information etc. All these are major challenges or issues which directly impacted on mine while
completion of each tasks or activities of investigation in effective manner. Despite of all these
challenges I tried my best to do research in more systematic and accurate way. For doing

getting detailed information regarding specific opinion of respondents (Nienaber and Sewdass,
2016).
Apart from this, while doing this investigation I become more able to overcome above
mentioned issues in systematic manner. For this, I tried my best and I performed all activities in
ethical and proper way. In order to overcome time problem, I must apply Gantt chart. It is more
effective tool for overcoming time issue in more systematic manner. This Gantt chart helps me
by providing information about the starting and ending time of project completion. Along with
this, in order to solving capital issue, I must used different sources of fund. As it will help me by
reducing impact of lack of capital and also support me by providing accurate amount of fund for
doing research systematically. Improper behaviour of respondent is another biggest issue, to
solving this problem I become able to follow ethical consideration systematically. There are
different ethical issues faced by me while conducting of this investigation over the broad topic
such as impact of Workforce diversity and its management in the workplace. Objectivity,
openness, carefulness, data confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, debriefing participants
legality, respect for intellectual property, honesty and integrity etc. All these are consider major
ethical issues which directly impacted on mine while assemblage of accurate information from
the research participants. To get the better of these ethical issues, I must tried to treat all
respondents friendly and not asked personal questions. In order to manage all ethical issues I
have discussed intellectual property frankly, I must use informed consent rules, I must regard
confidentiality as well as privacy, avoid and resolve ethical dilemmas etc. These are effective
and valuable ways which helped me by solving these issues and also assist me by providing
accurate information from the respondents (Risberg and Pilhofer, 2018).
CONCLUSION
As a conclusion, workforce diversity is a biggest topic which helped by increasing my
knowledge and understanding about them. Research is more important and essential part of my
life because with the support of this, I am more capable to do any kind of research in effective
manner. Current topic increase my interest area in field of research. For collecting information
about the study, I used different number of books, articles, journals etc. These are most essential
and useful sources for me because with the use of these sources I increased my reading skills.
