According to Flick (2013), the focus groups are a form of interview, which is basedon the communication between the participants of the research in order to generate the data. Itis assumed by many critics as that it is the convenient way to reach to the groups. They areencouraged to talk and express their views. They were mostly used in the fields ofcommunication studies like the television, media. They are also popular for assessing thehealth service sectors. They are used in analyzing the experience of the people to understandthe effects of the disease. It is also used to understand the behavior of the staffs and theirneeds. They are also used to study the experience of the people regarding a disease (Reisneret al. 2017). Other critics have opposed this. According to Tauringana, Mbah and Alexander(2017), the main purpose to apply this method is to ensure that it helps the people to maketheir views clear on the ways that would comparatively less easily be accessible in a face-to-face interview. It helps the participants to put forward their quarries and get the answers of itinstantly. It helps the researchers to access different types of communities. It includesdifferent types of communication. The communication sometimes includes the jokes, it alsoincludes the arguments, teasing and all other communications that are part of a person`s dailycommunication.
