INTRODUCTION
Internet usage is basically the measurement of total amount of data flowing through our
mobile or computer and the Internet network for given period. Measurement expressed in (bytes,
kilobytes, megabytes or gigabytes.).Present study will conduct survey on people of Nusa in order
to identify internet usage among these people.
TASK
a.) Selection of sample to represent the whole population.
There are various sampling techniques through which Researcher will able to take out the
sample from given population of Nusa so that they can take sample population as representative
of whole population of Nusa. The samples are basically taken to find out the average of whole
population instead of considering whole population. Sampling helps to save time and energy of
researcher (Nardi, 2018). The sampling techniques are divided basically into two:-
PROBABILITY SAMPLING METHOD-
1.Simple random sampling-
In this type of sampling method, the individuals are selected randomly from the given
population. There is no base on which they select the people. Random selections are done in this
type of sampling.
In this method, there is equal, chance of all persons of being it is basically more
straightforward and convenient method of probability sampling. These type of sampling can be
widely used where area of population is large and people selection os done on randomly basis so
that everyone get equal chance of selection (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018).
2.Systematic sampling
In this type of sampling the samples re taken systematically and the selection is done in
systematic way except the first element (Veal, 2017).
The initial step of these sampling is selecting any individual randomly than selection of another
element is done on some basis like every third element will be the part of sampling or every
alternate person will be part of sampling. This type of sampling is said to be systematic
sampling.
3.Multi-stage sampling
It is the combination of one or two methods of sampling.

3.Multi-stage sampling
It is the combination of one or two methods of sampling.
1
In this type of sampling ,the complete population is divided into different groups ( clusters) than
these groups are further subdivided into dub groups(strata) which are based on some similar
characteristics. Then one or more clusters are selected randomly from each stratum and the
process continues till those Custer cannot be divided anymore (Thomas, Nelson and Silverman,
2018).
4. Cluster sampling
In this sampling the complete population is divided into clusters on the basis of age, sex,
location, education, etc. and all the elements of the clusters are taken into consideration for
sampling purpose.
Cluster sampling can be done in two ways :- single stage cluster sampling and two stage cluster
sampling (Fang and et.al., 2015).
Single stage cluster sampling
Single stage clusters sampling ,the complete cluster is taken as sample which represent the
complete population.
Two stage cluster sampling-
In this sampling, researcher randomly select the cluster from different clusters and from those
clusters they also select the elements randomly for sampling.
NON PROBABILITY SAMPLING
It is the sampling which is ot based on randomisation. In this researcher selects sample according
to its ability of selection. There are chances of biaseness (Patten, 2016). And the population does
not get an equal chance of selection. The various types of non probability sampling are:-
Convenience sampling-in this technique the samples are selected on basis of availability, that is
when there is an availability of sampling is rare or costly than sampling will be done according
to convenience samples.
Purposive sampling-
This technique I based on the purpose or intention of the study. researcher will select only those
elements which are suitable for the purpose of study.
Quota Sampling-
this sampling technique I based on pre decided standard according to which the samples are
being selected from the population (Gorst and et.al., 2016)
Snowball sampling-

This type of sampling technique is generally used where the populations completely unknown
and rare to the researcher, researcher asked the first element to suggest the other elements which
are taken into consideration for sample on some basis and this technique continued with the
increasing the size of population like snowball (Lozano and et.al., 2015).
b.) Three research questions for the study
1.how often do you spent your time on internet?
Everyday
More than once day
once a day
Once a month
2. How many hours you spent ion the internet?
1-2 hours
2-3 hours
3-4 hours
More than 4 hours a day
3.what you like to do most on the internet (Online)?
File sharing
chatting
music
news
web browsing
Gaming.

c.)Three demographic variables which researcher would include in this study
There can be many variables which can be included in the study regarding internet usage
among the people of Nusa.
Some factors can be:-
Age-
according to the age classification, Researcher can ask people for the internet usage
purpose and also they will be able to know about the need and requirement of using internet in
different age groups.

In the study given, The age group between 18-30 years old people are using the internet
more actively. For this, the reason should be find out for using that much internet.
The classification of ages can be done in between 15-19 which are teenagers as they generally
surf internet for games. Learning. Cartoon channels etc.. another age group can be in between
young consumers which are mainly active in surfing the Movies, games, songs, tv channels,
education ,etc. they are in between the age of 20-30.the another group can be classified into age
between 30-45 years who are generally responsible for their families and carriers these type of
people are generally surf for something in which they can build up their career, chatting, email
etc..and the last but not the least Elder aged group which lies above 45.these are the people who
generally doesn't have internet usage due to lack of knowledge of new technology (Fellows and
Liu, 2015).
Hence, researcher can classified group according the different age groups and can find out the
reason for internet usage.
Gender
The classification many people can be done on basis of gender as well. Males are the
gender category who are generally more experience and learned. They are the least interest in
online shopping for long period. They are more time conscious that is why they did not waste
their time on talking buying decisions online
Another category is female category, they are most interested in spending their time online
shopping and chit chatting with their friends through internet. Comparing with males ,women's
are more focused on spending their time on internet for online sopping, watching tutorials,
recipes etc (Nardi, 2018).
hence, researcher have to mention which category of gender people belongs too
male
female
other
Education
People also can be categorise d according to their educational level ,so that it get easy for
researcher to find out that who are engaged the most in using the internet and who spent most of
their time on internet.

The Highest level of school or highest degree the people has achieved can be a basis for
classifying the people on basis of education.
Less than a school degree
school degree
associate degree
graduate degree
college degree
post graduate degree
occupation
The another form can be taken into consideration for classifying the population is on
basis of their occupation .
The population can be divided in this form as it says about the employment which required the
most use of internet, as there are many occupations which does not require any us of internet and
there some occupations which completely performed through internet.
The jobs or occupations can be divided as:-
Managers
professionals
technicians
skilled workers\
unskilled workers
elementary occupations
armed forces occupations
plant and machine operators
clerical jobs and many

this can be a category of classifying the population to know how much the people are
busy and how much time they get to spent on internet ..the employment classification of

e.) Reason for asking these questions
One of the main reason of asking these questions is to know opinion of people of Nusa
about internet usage and how much they use internet in day. One of the question has been asked
by research about common way to communication with friends. By asking this question scholar
got to know why people use internet, their intention to use it has been highlighted by this
question. Another question asked about have they received any lesson about use of internet, that
shows people know where and how to use internet or not. Their spend time on internet has been
asked this question will help in analysing the usage of internet in mobile now a days in Nusa.
Furthermore, what medium they use to operate intent, that shows how many people use mobiles
and computers to access interest. All these questions are highly related with research aim and
helps in answering the usage of internet among population of Nus.

CONCLSUION
Use of internet is very high across the world among young people and old both. Now
everybody use internet to get knowledge and information about their field. From the above study
it can be concluded that researcher is required to conduct survey in systematic manner.
Individual has to frame proper questions by considering the sample or participants.
